~Sea~ It's the thingy that goes on the 33 shaft of your record player...Correct? ............yes it is called a 45 loader (thanks to an email from teagusforyou).....I had the long 45 loader with my first record player, but the one I have now is a small disk, about the size of a checker; that fits over the spider (the thing that sticks up in the center of the turntable (also thanks to teags' info) LOL

That's pretty cool!!! I used to hang out a wee bit with Don Barnes in my "other life". Jeff Carlisi would get up and play with the local acts and play at Carlos McGees where I worked. Get them in the same room and the tension between the 2 was really thick! They wouldn't set foot on the same stage! Kinda sad really. But; they both reeked of Oil-of-Olay!  Best guy I met tho was "Uncle" Ted Nugent. He's a pretty good guy to talk to; very intelligent! 2nd was Billy Gibbons ~ what a nutcase; but one helluva guitar player and he's got a beautiful boat!
I still want to meet****y Betts, Mark Knopfler, Sting, Eric Johnson, Ann & Nancy Wilson, to name a few... Anybody got the hook up out there??? | |

I like the story it tells ~ reminds me of a buddy of mine that's a federal prosecuter (still employed!) and some of the stories he tells. But I've loved it since I heard it as a kid! "Time of the Season" by the Zombies; "I Can Help" by Billy Swan; "Stuck in the Middle with You" Stealers Wheel... Love all those songs!

Back to the "Reverend Willie G." ~ I met him while in Nassau for my 21st. birthday. He took us to his boat, showed us his guitars, it was great! Got to spend most of the week with him. I was down with my boyfriend at the time, guitar player in local cover band "Riverstreet".
Damn! That was nearly 20 years ago!

Posted: 4/1/2007 1:23:13 PM | I normally hate to beat a dead horse... But I've gotta tell ya'll this, and it's in line with the 38 Special story I told ya'll earlier...
Last week (3/22) my stepmother was flying out to New Mexico to meet up with my Dad-on-a-bike and got to sit in first class... So she gets to her seat ~ she's very freaky about airplane seats, gotta have the aisle seat ~ and there's a man in her seat, sitting all comfy with his cockail. Upon asking about his correct seat he just looks up at her and smiles, suggesting she take his seat instead... Not something you do to my stepmother; she's 5'2" 98lbs. but very feisty!... She asked him politely to get up and move to his seat, he insisted she take his seat... She asked again, not quite so politely... he finally capitulated and moved into the seat he vacated ~ a window seat in the front of the cabin.
Into the flight she sees all these people coming up to have their picture made with him, and asks the guy beside her whats going on ~ turns out it was Donnie VanZant ~ which could've been the pope for all she knows ~ and the guy who told her was Danny Chauncey! Once I filled her in on her faux pas she was sort of embarrased... but then again... "Chain Lightnin" would be a weather related phenomena to her... she doesn't even know what "Freebird" is ~ she thought I was making an avian reference...  | |

I meet Pat Boone a few years ago. His bag was destroyed and we gave him a new bag. I looked down and he was wearing "White Shoes", I exclaimed you really do wear them all the time! He laughed and commented that it is his trademark!!
I have also meet: Wolfman Jack, Dale Evans (nice lady!!), Little Richard (he's 6'), Tiny Tim (Tip Toe Thru The Tulips), Lynn Anderson, and Travis Tritt (a short fella'... LOL)!
