I don't think it's a big deal. We all have things that we especially like or don't like. I dont' get off on oral either but I"m female. Such is life.
My "hypothesis" on it is that some guys are much more sensitive to touch...guys that get off on oral probably cum quicker or more easily also. Guys that don't get off on oral maybe last longer.
THis is a bit TMI but it explains why I believe this:
Guy A: Didn't want to be sucked, just mouthed, basically, the sucking was too strong for him. Now, he came w/oral. He also came quickly w/sex except that he had little gimmicks to hold it off longer (like changing positions, etc)
Guy B: Wanted to be sucked really hard, needed that to feel it. He didn't cum w/oral even w/hard sucking or mouthing. And he had good stamina for sex...lasted a good long while.
So guy A was more sensitive to touch than guy B. I don't know, it's just a guess... and I"m not a guy, nor have I been with that many. BUt basically if oral didn't get a guy going, I didn't do it as much as if it did get a guy going. Like I said, no biggee, we all have our turn ons.
Wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same? And my god, can you imagine if every partner you had liked exactly the same things??? Not only boring, but that would be kinda CREEPY in my book.

See - I'm nearly the opposite... Can't remember ever having an orgasm from oral alone no matter how long it took but the velvetty, all encompassing pressure of being inside a gal that I care about sends me over the edge more quickly that I would like.

Yea, I'm the same way. I like it and all that, but it doesn't work for me to get to orgasm level. A few times here and there throughout my life, but those were one-offs. I can only speculate though, that if I did find someone who could get me there all the time and with little effort, I wouldn't object.
