if you say so babes..lol^^

man enough??

who invent that line??

It is an age old term. If a man is grown up, sure of himself and confident in his own skin, he will be ok to shed a tear when something genuinely moves him... In fact, as i do not want to hijack this thread i will make a new one on it....

Women prefer a man who is touch with his emotions... end of story

I will admitt for a while i have cried at movies, There is one that gets me every time, cant remember the name, but its about a guy and three robots up in space, the closing part of the film always gets me in tears, seeing the only robot left in a floating garden watering plants and having animals around him..,. so sad

But im 35 and will admit to it, first watched it when i was 16 and cried then....

Yes is the answer to that one. i always cry at the end of soppy stories or where yhere's been strong emotional content in the story and I'm 6'6" and 42. Fair play, I say don't hide your emotions guys!

Msg 27: Is it Silent Running? Not sure but I love that film, whatever it's called.

I like a man that feels he can cry at a sad film. Might feel a bit uncomfortable if he was sobbing his heart out to a Lassie movie but to each his own.

I've just finished watching "Sunshine", and although I totally didn't see it coming I have to add that to the short list of movies i've cried at the end of. It being a sci-fi film I wasn't expecting it but for some reason it played with my emotions to the point I was a little confused at what I was teary-eyed over and a little bit embarassed.

But back to the main topic at hand, I don't think it's bad for a guy to be able to show his emotions once in a while. Blubbering, neurotic messes aside it's a natural instinct. For those who don't feel like they have to prove themselves to the world as being the next Rambo and are comfortable enough in their own skin to do so, shedding the odd tear or two when a situation is moving enough can actually be quite theraputic.

Wouldn't do it every day though!

Ahem. Anyway, think I might have to watch something macho now like "Underworld" to redeem myself.

The worst for me has to be 'It's A Wonderful Life'.........a totally solid storyline that manages to keep me in tears for so much of it.

Some scenes from 'Ghost' and 'Some Kind of Wonderful' do the same thing.......probably a few others I've forgotten as well

when i was about 18 ET was released on video. i lived in what was termed a bad lads home.
one evening about 16 of us where watching it in the pitch dark. skinheads, punks, and cleancut lads alike where watching.
towards the end when the little girl was pleading with ET about whatever it is,came the dramatic, emotional music ect.
one lad without warning quietly flicked the light on.
the biggest, thickest, senceless goons where all sat there blubbing there eyes out quietly.
was i?
not telling.
but we all cracked up!

Yes!! Not ashamed about it either. I am proud that I can show my emotions.

Films that have the effect - Ghost, Love Actually, Rocky ? (When Micky dies) plus a few others.

Giving re-birth to this thread. I think its an interesting topic!

Three films that made me cry:

Return of the Jedi. There was a scene with the big battle and the Ewoks.
All through it is was done lighly and comedic. Until there was a part were there were two Ewoks fightimg in the wood and one got killed. The other got up nudge his friend to get up and then he slumps beside him, held him and cried. War is hell, even for cute furry people. That scene get me everytime!

The Incredible Journey: The story of three pets, a cat and two dogs, who lose their owners when they are all on vacation. One of the dogs was VERY old.
When the son sees his old pit bull terrier rushing to him at the end, brings a tear to my eye.

The Champ: Litle Ricky Schroder crying "Wake up champ!" after his father dies on the table

Boyz N The Hood brings a lump to my throat. I'm sure Watership Down would if I watched it again. I find it incredibly hard to cry at anything since my mum's death though. I know I cried the first time I watched City of Angels, although it was only a couple of tears.

50 first dates always gets me at the end, as previously mentioned the incredible journey when the bull terrier makes it home.

Even an episode of WWE monday night raw got me in tears recently, a guy retired after 35 years in the business and he was stood in the ring with all his friends and family in floods of tears.

And never ever let me watch forrest gump when he is stood by jenny's grave.

I was unconsolable after watching Watership Down at the cinema aged 4 or 5.... and even listening to the music now sets me off!!.... apart from that Schindlers list had me sobbing most of the way through it, especially when the children were going to be left behind till the man pleaded for them. Another with a war theme was Black Adder when they went over the top in slow motion...... and the poppy fields at the end.
