whats more degrading? paying a girl to sleep with you and have no negative repercushins. Or sleep with a woman that later wants to marry and have a family but realizes half way through you won't change into what she really wanted so she starts seeing someone else and you get divorced and paychild support and live in a tiny little shack, while your ex is driving your porsche and banging younger guys in your house!
I vote for the hooker, at least there honest about taking your money. they wont take your house,car,kids. They just leave when your done. I have all the respect in the world for them.

I actually think that this is the discussion that we all should be having. I don't think we are going to calibrate any moral scales by trying to see what people think of prostitution -- everyone has a damn opinion about it. However, I do believe that the spread of disease, violence, crime, drugs and many, many other negative things associated with prostitution would decrease if it was legalized, taxed and regulated. Most of those really scary things associated with prostitution happen because of the pimp culture that is required to keep the underground business afloat. I think if a woman chooses to do that, she should at least be able to control her own earnings as an independent contractor or demand certain legal rights as an employee. Cut out the middle man (i.e. kill the pimp) by making it legal.
To answer the OP's question, I have never had sex with one, but I did kiss one (English student of mine, his money, hostess bar in a busy section of Korea - mix in a bowl with whiskey and stir.....) What kind of person uses them? People with all kinds of reasons but with the common denominator of having money.... lots of it! (Well.... unless you want an itch between your legs...) | |

Would you rather have a guy lie to you and tell you he wanted a relationship just so he could get laid? I think that shows worse moral character than using a prostitute. It is a very honest business transaction. A guy could spend just as much wining and dining a woman and hope she takes him home. But what if he just got out of a relationship and isn't ready for real dating?? At least he isn't hurting a woman who might fall in love with him. Or what about people that have disabilities, and really do have a hard time meeting women? What about the married men who aren't getting any at home? How many are on this site pretending to be single just to get laid? It's a fact, we can't pretend men don't have sex drives. Look at the porn industry on the internet. Make it legal, tax it, it has proven safe sex works in Nevada. | |

In the long run it's cheaper than having a girlfriend or wife. hookers are cool!
escorts help us with bussiness deals when our wife or girlfriend may say something to get us in trouble or cause us to lose a deal. Escorts know when to talk and say the right things, oh ya and thier usually payed very well for it. | |

Posted: 3/16/2007 5:34:44 PM | I've heard prostitution called the world's oldest profession and maybe it is and I think it is a viable alternative for people (guys and gals) that don't want to have a full relationship and don't want to lie about it just to satisfy their carnel urges. I think it should be legalized. Open up brothels, get them checked out for disease, and tax it cause making it illegal sure didn't stop any more than prohibition stopped people drinking alcohol. Sure you can go to a bar and pick up a star and all but really is she that different from a prostitute? ( I refer to that easy girl that goes home with a different guy each week or even night). You spend a bunch of money on her to get her drunk or just to grab her attention. Mind you if your taking a girl out cause you WANT the relationship then what does the money matter? I figure if all your after is a little sex go do what you want hire a prostitute (and I don't mean a $20 crackwhore), pick up the bar star whatever floats your boat. Just be honest with what you want and who your getting it from and don't judge others for what they do to make themselves happy cause really does it affect you?
P.S. Blast I wanna meet you at a mall and see if you can point out the guys that have hired sex workers. Hell do you think I have? (the answer will most likely surprise you) | |

I told her women have it a lot easier when it comes to getting some. All they have to do is bat an eyelash, lead the guy on for a bit and then get her fill. For men, they have to do the whole song and dance crap, spend some money and then MAYBE they will get what they are looking for. MAYBE not. Most likely not. So in that case, escorts come in handy. I have personally never used one due to my charm and charisma but hey, if ya gotta get some don't waste your time and effort. Really it is an easy way out, I still love the chase. | |

Although I am not a prude, I don't believe that it's acceptable. I know a lot of men actually get turned on by prostitutes...not sure why but that's their deal.
Let's actually ponder on this for a minute...think about it, people whore around all the time but because they see nothing wrong with sleeping around, they would not consider it a form of prostitution. The common denominator with whoring and prostitution is the fact that people chose to be and do what they want giving little or no thought to what they are showing others around them. Wonder if this is the only area in our society wherein this happens????
Actually, I believe that some prostitutes really want to change but because they don't really know how to or don't have the financial or emotional support to effect change, they just continue on in their quest to survive the only way the think possible.
Remember, whoring/prostitution is only one aspect of what is actually tearing at the moral seams of our society. Instead of focusing on the actual act, we should focus on the intentions and why they exist. Intentions on why some find it acceptable to pay for it and why some find it acceptable to perform the acts. | |

They do not walk the streets they dont stand out the front flaunting themselves, they stay inside and guys come in to them. They are forced to go for check ups and stuff every couple of weeks and not one of them in there has diseases as that is not tolerated! They are clean girls here, and that is why they are tolerated and it is safe! | |

As soon as a soldier showed up, he would pick out the woman of his choice.for, I think it was, $5/week, he lived at her house, she cleaned his clothes, cooked him food and took care of his every need. i say 'all of them' because no one wanted to stay on base in bunk beds.
it was very, very common.
not sure why its so frowned on these days. i havent done it, but then all thats around here are the $10 crackwhores.
i work with several young guys who have been to vegas and just HAD to go to one of the brothels outside of town. they sure dont feel guilty about it.
as the guys always say, you pay for it one way or another. i think most guys would rather pay bux two hundred than lose the house and car and toys in a divorce.

Google Japanese women and gigolos and you'll find that the women there are paying not just for sex but for the company as well. Are people who are focused on jobs or who are socially inept supposed to be alone simply because a majority of society deems prostitution to be abhorrent? Where is the line drawn? are 900 numbers ok because there is no contact? webcams? And really if a guy just wants to get off why should he feel bad for that fact? You're not paying for the sex, you're paying them to leave when you're done. There have almost been times that i wished i had payed for sex because it meant i could have said "ok you go now" without feeling bad and hurting feelings. Women wonder why guys lie? I tried dating for the psat eight months but most women project all sorts of weirdness & paranoia into the equation. It can't just be easy or fun. I get enough weirdness from paranoid co-workers, I don't need more of it. The thread on how women read all sorts of deep twisted meaning into "separated" versus "divorced" or lint on my shirt is another example.
I've had two major periods of celibacy in my life, both lasting almost four years so I suspect my self-control exceeds yours, but I've finally realized that I would LIKE to have some good sex before I die or get too old but I don't want to deal with all the annoyance and trouble of insecurities and games.
This hassle just isn't worth it. I've been rethinking the stripper thing more and more. At least it's an clear-cut honest relationship where I'm not tricking the chick into sex with expectations, which most "normal" relationships seem to be these days. | |

I dont buy into that 'you always pay for sex' thing... If I take my gf out and buy her dinner or bring her somewhere, its because I want to, and I want to spend time with her. Not because I want to have sex with her.

Hiring an escort from a service is way more fun than some ole fuddy duddy nagging and whining the whole time then making you miserable later about wasteing the entire evening. 
The escort will dress appropriate for the occassion, they will be nice and will generally be having a good time which translates into you having a good time. Escort services are so much more than sex! Hence the word ~~ escort!  | |
