I totally agree, further more, if something is working for ya, such as the testimonials, and the favorites, then there is NO NEED to go messing with that, with something else.
It is nice to have features that work, for ya, but, BUT, why have added features that take away from the good features that ya already have in place.
Don't make good sense to me.
So, I say, a great big "NO", to "Your Coolest Friends Feature".
There are times, that somethings are best "LEFT ALONE", especially things that "DO WORK". | |

And I was put in a bad spot. The 3 friends that were selected were there because of very important reasons...All for the here and now...otherwise I would have taken them off completely....If I could I would put all that I have on favorites list on there..because I really don't like to hurt other's feelings. Or being put on the spot either... | |

I can see how, w/ some creative use, it could be used for evil  ~ I didn't read all 12 pages, but I'm sure someone else must have thought it up already, as well...

I thought it was a pretty ok idea even though it really didn't make a difference to me whether the feature remains or not as I'm not actively dating any longer. But for those who are dating, this feature could have been an added bonus to them. Athough friends do cover for eachother so even if one was here to play games a real friend wouldn't imagine ratting them out. Oh well no biggie to me. | |

Posted: 4/10/2007 7:12:20 PM | Personally I like it, I miss the feature already and I think people are taking it too seriously. As it is a dating web site I put three woman on who are like the type I would like to date. Attractive, intelligent, long haired brunettes. Hoping that displaying I can attract the type I like would lead to attention from the same in my own town. Eventually I figure it would have some benefits and I totally absolutely agree about the feature saying you are not a player and are sincere.
Besides if your friends are really your friends they will understand me using it as a date type function to better my own life. If they do not have my best interests in mind that much because they are insulted they are not on there then they can remove themselves from my friends list.
People can opt not to use it and it did win the popular vote in the poll. I would like to see what happens if it stays around longer. | |
