| Your Coolest Friends Feature. How deep the water we step: Posted: 3/17/2007 8:17:50 AM | I've always been a person that looked at something from more than one veiw point. There will be some that read this and will disagree with me. They have that right without being anything other than someone with a different opinion. To me that not a reason not to be able to listen to their opinions as well.
We are all a work in progress. I'm not into people who are self centered. Only wanting what we make them happy. These are people who I would refer to as rock skippers. they only interested on the surface of the pond or person that there. These people don't realize that under the water of the pond lives many other different kinds of creatures. That the rock they skip may hit them on the head as that rock finds it way to the bottom.
For those of you that like to fish. This can be a new way to find new ideas of what we all seek. There are three sides to every coin. This site is only the center of that coin , we are the heads and tails of that coin. to be spend where we choose. That I see as a good thing. I know where I come from, how about you.

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:14:13 AM | No, I don't like this. I don't think it's fair to choose 3 of my friends over everyone else. | |
|
| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:15:52 AM | mixed feelings...
I like it cos I like my friends. Although I'd like the option to remove/delete those saved favorite friends.

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:16:19 AM | Actually, the contest/lottery idea is kinda cool. Props! It would also lure ppl to begin/expand relationships with ppl further away versus just in their own town. I like it. | |

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:18:06 AM | I emphatically support what Msg.17 put. It says exactly the way I would see this feature. No interest to "single out" just three, I feel it's not easy to limit to this and not right to the other friends I cherish as well. I wouldn't place one above the other. I value all my friendships in different ways. I have some that have left here I wouldn't be able to include then even though I have ongoing contact with them otherwise as well and consider them to be very worthwhile to know. C'mon , ask an "aquarian" to pick just 3? Who wants to risk seeing their favorites list decrease if a friend wasn't chosen?
Now, IF we could get to vote on having a courtesy reply automatically given to someone one isn't interested in when getting an email, I would be onboard for that. Instead of just seeing read and delete to have someone give a "no thanks" selected reason is better than feeling just tossed aside and not risk any further contact on it or have to see threads about people offending others to not give any reply instead.

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:32:25 AM | This feature seems...juvenile and trivial. We have our favs list, that should be MORE than enough for easing connection and for social networking here.
This dating forum ROCKs because it's avoided the gimmicks that other dating websites resort to, in order to attract clients. Simple IS better. The Roses are a great idea. The Fish Characters are a lighthearted addition.
Coolest Friends sounds like a teeny-boppers fad.
|
| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:45:46 AM | it is optional, and i'm sure it will only be adopted by a small crowd but there is a crowd of people that like that.
I originally wanted to see if I could set up group dates.. ie here are my 2 girlfriends and we like you and your friend lets go out. But this isn't a method for that .

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:50:19 AM | I have a LOT more than three friends on PoF. More problems woould be created than solved. (and I agree with her, /\ /\ /\ Big Fish -- Thanks!)
Let people gather evidence of budding friendships and relationships by testimonials and limited acdcess to "favorites" lists
I am like a window . . . I hide almost nothing, and I am not self-deluding . . . . Anyone who reads my forum posts and any fishmails they receive will get a good picture of me. The only problem accompanying this idea is that the reader MUST have the ability to determine my sincerity from my bullsheet.

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 9:58:26 AM | maybe i missed this answer already, but is there any way to see who put you on their friends list? and yes, it's hard to pick, when two of my faves have left me testimonials, so they are already on my profile, and some of my faves don't have pictures up...but it's still a good feature....a good way to advertise people who might not otherwise be noticed | |

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 10:05:07 AM | I see more than 4 of my friends posting on this page.... I think the idea is a good one, I don't think it's something I'll personally use, though. Just because I wouldn't use it myself doesn't mean it shouldn't be available for those who DO want to use it. | |

| Your Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 10:37:52 AM | not impressed one way or the other, neither like it or hate it, but don't think I'll use it because all my chat buddies are pretty much on equal footing with me, I'm lucky eh?
Thanks for bringin up new ideas tho, like the fish name n such.

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 10:56:35 AM | I would tend to agree with you Blueyed. Furthermore, (admin) what praytell is the reason for being 3 members that write testimonials... as opposed to two or even one other person, for example I have a very close and dear friend that lives in Edmonton that knows me personally and she hasnt put a testimonial up about me...that is ridiculous, especially were us guys are concerned...
I doubt many men correspond with one another here, because again this is primarily a dating site...
In my eyes you are encouraging mistrust... think about it.

| Your Coolest Friends Feature. Posted: 3/17/2007 11:47:02 AM | | Group dating ..............YIKES!!!! ......... I feel like I'm back in high school. I never liked the "favorites" idea either. Never use it and remove myself, when someone puts me on. I had one person ask me to keep him on so he could see when I was online. I did .....and eventually I was not there any longer. Go figure ...... someone else mentioned favorite friends ...now that I can handle. But then again....its like myspace ....... who are your friends? Call me cynical, but at my age ....... who the hell cares. I know who my friends are. Don't you? | |
