no sugar...i did not bring them beer.....lol

I started singing karaoke and dancing....people started talking to me....then i got to know all the regulars...a month ago the co host left to spend time with the man she met there so I volunteered to co-host......2 weeks ago the host decided to leave as well to spend more time with her guy she met there so here I am in the "HOT SEAT" hosting.....I love it.....It is the only to get a guy to walk up and talk to me...LOL sad but true...

the event in Hilliard brings in about 100 people on a regular sunday...holidays about 60 to 70 people.... we are more like family....

OH LOOKY>>>IM ON TOP!!!!!!!!

Darlin if that is a sad truth, and I think ya may be stretchin it here a lil bit, then a whole lot of Bozo's are missin one of the nicest and most genuinely kind and caring women they could ever get to meet this side of their Mama.

For me the decision to attent events was more of a I need out of the house before I turn into an old cat woman. My son had graduated and moved out and I was not interacting with other folks anymore. I have met some really wonderful people who genuinely care about one another and we look forward to seeing one another each week to put the outside world aside for a few hours and have a lil fun, or in the event one of us is having a tough go of it, to provide some support and a kind ear to listen. She hit the nail right on the head when she says we are a family of sorts, and it does not take long to feel welcome at one of the events. From the time you sign in to the time your first beverage is gone, so long as you are not hiding in a corner, I would imagine a bunch of folks will have said hello and introduced themselves to ya. Shux, I would not be a bit surprised if someone offered ya a lollipop or some licorice(just watch out for Jack and his famous licorice trick).

Get up, get out, have some fun, meet some friends and come back for more, you will not regret it!!!

My first event I think was back last March and was the lunch bunch. I work every 3rd weekend and this was on a day I did not have to work so I thought why not. Plus it was on the side of town I live on so I knew I could not get lost.
Then I went to a place where they shot pool and did karoke and had good food. Now I will have to admit that first time I was a little no a lot scared and did not go back for about 4 months . but then someone told me to go ahead and give it another try and it was only for a few hours. Then I could always go back to watching tv and doing what I always did.
I did and no I look forward to the activites on Sunday I have even participated in doing a little karoke. I take a shot at pool and have met some awesome people there.
Seeing a nice guy and am known as the candy girl as I bring in the licorce every week that I am there.
JUST give it a try>
i KNOW I have really changed since going to these groups.

The point is this is a way to get out of the house. You need to interact with people once in awhile to forget your problems. Go out..have a good time.......smile............ why not?

Climbsagain, I think this is the first time we actually fully agree on something!

Good to see you joining us at Sidelines in June.

Looks like sidelines may not happen in June. Plans are being made to climb in Kentucky. Hard to resist the Gorge this time of the year. We rent a cabin, climb all day. cook up a big meal, eat on the deck, later sit around in the hot tub out on the deck. Climbing is what I love!

My first event was this past Sunday in Hilliard. I was nervous........So nervous I made my sister tag along with me. Then everyone I talked to at the event put me at ease I relaxed and had a good time. This week I am coming solo. Look forward to seeing everyone there :)

I drive 2 hours to get to The Mix.
Why?
Because it's FUN!
Yes, fun can be had right here at home, but I would have never met the wonderful people I have if I stayed close to home.
There isn't a corner of this beautiful state that I can't go to and event and walk in and someone with a big smile says NEYSHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
