I also have been on the site for several months but just today decided to find out what the forums are all about. I live about 3 hrs from OKC but a weekend get together would be doable for me. If anyone gets a get together going in the Tulsa area I would really be interested as I only live 45 minutes from there. I would love to meet some new friends. I think you have a great idea there. | |

I want to encourage you all, to pass along this forum information, to anyone you may have contact on here, in hopes of getting more people involved....... It didn't dawn on me, that the day I picked for us to meet, was Cinco de Mayo so hopefully we will meet early enough not to ruin anyone's plans they may have for that night. OR we all just have our own Cinco de Mayo party of our very own.  Looking forward to getting to know, all my new friends, that I've made on here.

Posted: 4/18/2007 6:09:40 PM | | I was on aol for a long while and then went to yahoo. I went to many parties they had at the old hollies. It grew to quite a crowd. Im sure any bars/ clubs now that are non smoking would cater to any large group. Its warming up and i think there are still some people whom left over from the beginging of the online chat rooms whom do get together at the alley club. The out side area is large and for the non smokers its roomy and windy so every one gets what they want, drinkers get to drink ,smokers get to smoke, and non smokers are free to get out side in the fresh air. They even have a live band. no cover charge. centrally located off I-35. Its just a thought and yea id even be willing to show up.. | |

The Texas Bunch has a Big party planned in Coppell, Tx and their M & G forum shows the photos of the people that have said they were attending the party. I did see where they had a heading for the party planned in Coppell, TX, but since I'm computer illiterate, I don't know how to get one posted for our group. I think it would catch the attention of people, who might not come into the forums, but would want to attend.
I'll change my profile, to include the information of our Get Together. I had thought about that before, but since they post your last few forum posts on your profile, didn't think it was really necessary. But willing to do anything, to get the word out.
Most people who have planned on coming, have posted on this thread, along with their pic. I'll direct anyone who emails me, saying they will show, to come here and post it.
Although I have heard, from quite a few people, you never know, how many will attend, until that day. Have gotten alot of "maybe's", some "if I can's" and a few "I'll try's". We'll just have to SEE, when the day arrives.
Thanks for your help with this......I'm finding out, there are alot of great people out there, who are just as interested in making new friends, as I am.

OK...OK...I'll post. Geez...so much pressure.
As Debbie knows, I plan on being there. It is "penned" (not penciled) in my calender, saved to my phone (with alarm reminder), and posted on my door, computer and vehicle with sticky-notes. Hopefully, I'll remember.
Of course, memory is the third thing to go at my age (I forget what the other two are).
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you and hopefully making a few new friends. That's usually a good thing...friends that is. Meeting new people...that can be a good thing, although it sometimes makes one feel a bit anxious or apprehensive with all that added stress and strain. Especially of you're a "bit shy at first" <<<----me.  So, I'll be taking my "bravery pills" before I show up. 
Thanks for all your effort, Debbie. If you need any more help, please let me know. If not, I'll see you (and the rest of the PoF gang) there and have a GREAT time.

That's why I figured, that there were more people out here, that could use a new friend or two...and wants to meet people, in a "no pressure"..."no expectations" atmosphere. I'm glad you can make it...and look forward, to meeting you, as well as all my new friends here.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, and wants to do this again. I think we had discussed the first Saturday, of each month....There was a suggestion of going to Slick Willies, to play pool. Hell, you know me...I'm up for anything, (you guys KNOW what I mean..... ) and am looking forward to seeing you again. So...Gimme some feedback

It has been decided that we would all like to do this, on a monthy basis, so keep your eyes on this forum, for details of next big "to do"....I don't have an email listing, I can't contact most of the women on this site, so only way to be in contact is here.
I'll be out of town next week, so keep the interest up here, and keep the suggestions coming....Would love to see a bigger turn out the next time....but enjoyed the company of those who showed. We have some really nice people, on this site...
