| To Russia with Love? Posted: 3/28/2007 8:27:09 PM | | I just emailed her, if we don't talk on the phone within a few days I'd report her to blacklist. If she is being duped by the person who owns the computer she is using he/she looses either way. She did mention she hadn't read some of the emails I sent. Also reference: http://www.womenrussia.com/myths.htm if anyone is interested in the real thing. | |

| To Russia with Love? Posted: 4/25/2007 9:10:14 PM | There are a lot of good women in Russia that are sincerely looking for a good husband but they will never contact you on a site like match or yahoo. Those are scammers 100% of the time. When they say they are coming to America on a visa and can pay their own way it is also always a scam. Getting a tourist visa for America for a single woman from Russia is impossible.
By the way I have been to Russia about 20 times and do have a pretty good idea what I am talking about.
A lot of the agencies that specialize in women from there put out a lot of baloney about them being like old fashioned american women from the 50's who want to devote thier life to being a good wife and mother and paint a picture of them being like a stepford wife. They do have a lot of good qualities but anyone who marries a woman from there needs to be prepaired to give a lot of support and to face a lot of challenges as they learn the culture, to drive, english and what life in America is like. There are a lot of guys who should not even think about it but for those who like a challenge it is possible to get a very attractive, intelligent good woman who can be a lot better than what they can find here. Going into it blind though can be a route to disaster.

Scammers using the Russian Travel/Visa scam can write between 800 and 1100 men a day and you are not doing any damage by "stringing her along" Many of them are making 7 figure incomes from this scam (7 figures in Dollars not Roubles). I hear dozens of guys caught up in this scam who think they are stringing them along and they are just stringing themselves along. Reporting them to a black list is a waste because they just keep changing their name and e-mail address. Most are not even women. They buy a models photos or clip them out of magazines.
The link you gave to Elena Petrovna's book is a good link and is reasonably acurate about the truth of what Russian woman are about. I will also say that if someone is interested in really persuing one, Elena's services are about the best in the industry. It is an industry with a lot of bad apples as well.

| To Russia with Love? Posted: 5/21/2007 9:10:05 PM | Howdy Russ, My Dad married a Russian woman & he finally got her over here she hated us, hated everything about America & acted like a spoiled little twit everytime she didnt get her way...He gave her anything her little heart desired & then she had to go home to see her parents & guess what, she took damn near everything that wasnt nailed down even his pictures that he had of her in frames. My advice to any one thinking about this is run like the wind...Oh & and something to watch for, if you are ever talking to or dealing with anyone from Russia if you catch them smiling too much, like it is pasted on that is their put down to us.... | |

| To Russia with Love? Posted: 5/22/2007 3:15:32 PM | | Was on Yahoo's personal website, this one Russian female emailed me. In her profie it mentioned she lived in Ohio. Contacted her and found she lived in Russia and a friend but up the profile (Yahoo blocks personal profiles from Russia). Emailed back and forth, then she asked for money. Looked on the internet found out it was a scam. Had Yahoo look into the matter. Gave Yahoo of three Russia women accounts, they deleted them all. Can say Natasha is really Boris or a program which can read your emails. Know the Russians were the first to create a program that could read the emails and reply back. As for Mexico was down the there earlier this year. Know the police love stopping Americans driving there (with American plates) and making some fake charge . Best to rent a car in Mexico. | |

| To Russia with Love? Posted: 5/22/2007 5:33:53 PM | russartlover...I have spent a lot of time in Russia and the former Republics. Let me tell you, the most beautiful woman in the world live there. But be very careful, not all of them, but some of them will scam you in a flash. If this woman is young and beautiful, be careful, she may be who she says she is, or someone else. If she is straight up with you, she will have no problem with you flying there and meeting her face to face, then see how both feel. You'll need a Russian tourist visa to go, the best way to get this is through a travel agent, they will have the information and the forms you need to fill out, you'll need a Russian address where you will be staying in Russia. The travel agent can help you with this too..Also don't worry about any clearances you had in the military or in civilian jobs, this will not stop you from getting a Russian visa. If the travel agent sets you up in a hotel, see if they can recommend a guide or translator, even though you're meeting this girl, it could still be a scam. Trust me, it's good to know someone there, you can trust . I have traveled all over Russia and speak some Russian, but when I travel to places I don't know, I always have one of my Russian friends with me. Or have someone waiting for me at the train station or airport when I arrive. But remember this, if it's to good to be true, then it's probably not. Russian woman are easy to meet, but most are very educated and very smart. The dating services would lead you to believe, they will marry anyone to come to the US, this is far from being true, some do, but most don't. I hope this helps!!! "Paka" | |
