The Muppet Show.....yep. I had me the Muppet show album...aaaah...such memories. To sit there and mimic the lines word for word with my siblings....to listen continually tell us that "It's not easy being green." To hear the all powerful Fozzie Bear give us his wisdom and terrible jokes "Waka-waka!" To listen to Miss Piggy dole out the Kung Fu punishment for not getting a spot on the show....But the most fondest memory of it....to hear Gonzo...eating a tire before a live audience. As Kermit would sigh repeatedly...."Good grief"

My first cassette...Midnight Oil - Beds are burning - Yeah I was into them....till the second album.

My first CD....(hangs head in shame) Deee-light - World Clique.....why? Oh god who knows why.....All I know is I couldn't get rid of that album if I tried. Not even in a garage sale....for free! I think I just finally tossed it out....God I hope I did.

Actually my First "Music" album was Falco...oh yes....Falco 3..."Rock me Amadeus" Much like the rest of the world at the time...I bought in to that crap. A one hit wonder song that just kinda makes you laugh that you ever did actually find it good.

Moxie, you're funny and I truly am sorry if that is the case......

Jet, you are too funny........I only wish I had the Muppets album, although I could still probably sing "It's not easy being green........"

Edit:
OMG, just now noticed the typo in the title....... kinda surprised nobody pointed that out to me! Oh well, gotta run with it now, can't edit the thread title hours later..lmao!

My first two REAL (not cartoon sing-a-long/story) albums (given to me by my uncle on my birthday) was Pink Floyd - The Wall and The self entittled Police albums

My first cassette was given to me also on my b-day by my brother - Samantha Fox - Touch Me prob gave it to me cause he liked her boobs.

I can't remember the first CD... I think it was the Jerky Boys or Doc Dre, but I could be wrong (how weird... I can remember back to the cassette and LP days but not CD, mind you... I was involved in a lot of music between one era and the other, so that may have something to do with my memory loss, or smoke may have clouded my memory.

*cough*

OK I ought this was the FRIST album// that I myself bought,so that being said I think the first album I ever HAD,was an xmas gift and was a disney record ,45 Mickey And The Beanstalk.

And Brash to answer your question, whats the most requested rock song of all time.

It has to be Necrophiliac by Slayer................. right??

If not probably either Stairway To Heaven(puke)by Zep
or Hey Jude by The Beatles?................................am I close?

Yes Prof Chaos you are correct ,Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin is the song most requested and never released as a solo song ,very good Prof .

The answer to the second question ,What is the most played ,sang ,song in history ????
that would be Happy Birthday .............yes sung by millions everyday .........

I think we all know the words to that song ,so to everyone Happy Birthday To You ,Happy Birthday to You .........yada yada yada ........................

First album I remember buying with my own cash....? Monster Mash, a K-Tel classic!

First cassette would have probably been Thriller. I'd picked up a really badly warped LP, returned it and exchanged it for a cassette.

First CD.... Aerosmith's Classics Live II.

From B.E.D.

There are a couple of albums for me, all right around the same time.
I'm pretty sure the first one I bought was Zenyatta Mondatta- The Police
followed by Damn The Torpedos- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
One of the first CD's I bought was Sudden Stop-Colin James

This thread brings back sooooo many memories.

1st album: Frampton Comes Alive Frampton. Parents bought it for me for Christmas

1st casette: Blizzard of Oz Ozzy. Used to play it over and over and over to impress the boys

1st CD: Boston

1st 45: Bob Segar Hollywood Nights on one side, and I forget the other. Wonder if my parents still have it.

Still trying to figure out when how I became such a lover of 80's dance music.

OMG I'm so embarrassed ... Dan Hill ... wore out three of them "sometimes when we touch, the honesty's too much" ... after that though I became an addict. I did pare down my record collection several years ago but I do believe they're still in the storage locker. I only have about 150 CD's and that's only because I can't afford to buy them anymore !

I have no clue what my first tape was, (I actually never bought cassettes much) or for that matter, what my first CD was either!

first 45 ... oh heck, I'll have to go dig in the box to figure that one out - I can't believe I still have them lol
