only LP I ever bought: Beatles Greatest hits (red album)
1st Tape: I'm pretty sure was Dire Straights, Brothers In Arms
last tape: The Cult - Pure Cult (greatest hits)
1st CD: hmmm, can't remember

I remember growing up with all my Mom's records though, I can't believe how many times I spun "Pleasant Valley Sunday" on the old hi-fi (one of many 45's)
And my neighbour gave me a huge pile of 78's too - now that's old skool!

Divine you are wrong with Yummy Yummy being sung by 1910 Fruitgum Company. That was the Ohio Express who also did Chewy Chewy, Sweeter Than Sugar, and Beg, Borrow Or Steal.
I think my first record was Mary Poppins, the LP given to me by my mother for my birthday back I think in 1965.

I'm embarrassed to say that my first LP was the album of the movie "Annie". Played it over and over and I would even bring it over when I babysat my niece. She would only go to sleep to the song "Tomorrow".

First cassette I dont remember but my first cd I ever bought was Collin Raye "I Think About You". Got all his CDs now but love this cd the best.

Secret Agent Man was the first 45 I ever bought. Can't think of the first album I was ever given, though it was probably something by the Monkees.

My first cassette - which would have been the first "album" that I bought with my own money - was News of the World, by Queen. It's the one with We Will Rock You, and Get Down Make Love on it, among other favourites such as We Are the Champions. I'd never heard of them before, but really liked the cassette cover artwork featuring a giant robot lol

My Grandfather was horrified that I'd bought rock music, quickly giving me a cassette by a band that he considered to be more wholesome and appropiate for a young boy: Jackson 5.

yeah, no kidding lol
