Posted: 3/22/2007 5:22:28 PM | | Yeah, I agree, simple things are nice, we are too often reminded of the "bad" things in life that are going on arround us, it's nice to just be able and escape it all by glaring at the skies watching the stars or injoying a nice walk along the beach on a clear night or just sitting at home escaping in a book on a rainy day while letting the rain drops take you away...defenetely, simple "things" are nice, the thought of it makes me smile :-) | |

Being able to see the ocean, mountains and forest everytime I step out the door (I live on Beach Ave. in English Bay) might seem like no big deal, but when you have lived in a glass and concrete jungle like Toronto with no reference of nature, you feel like a stressed-out hampster in a maze. Just the simple glance towards the mountains and ocean mellows me out completely and puts a positive vibe in me. | |

There's so many simple pleasures in life that I love ..... I love hearing the birds early in the morning ... especially if it's a sunny morning! I love being the first person on the beach in the morning ... or the last person at night. I love just walking in nature, with no one else around ... and just smelling all the wonderful blend of nature's perfumes. I love hearing the gurgling and bubbling sounds of a little creek or brook. I love hearing the laughter of a small child ... or in seeing the excitement in their eyes as they're about to experience something. I love receiving those little notes or cards when someone thanks me for something ... or just saying "I'm thinking about you". | |
