knowing that online dating is not very good for guys with the male/female ratio (at least 10 guys for every woman), I know I am a WINNER by joining plenty of fish, because I enjoy the forums which will hopefully give me tips to find a nice woman in the REAL WORLD | |

POF has plenty of great people and I consider it a success even if so far I've only made friends. Friends make life a pleasure and I'm glad to have met my POF friends. I don't bother to spend money on other online dating sites since POF is fun, easy to use, and I enjoy the forums.

i noticed when you type in plentyoffish..there is an ad on the screen that states plenty of fish is for losers....
I completely forgot this site has ads. I use Firefox with the Adblock extension. None of the ads ever show up for me. (Sorry, Admin. I hope this doesn't affect your revenue.) | |

My thoughts on this ,is that it could be a harvesting tactic to get e mail adresses, so they can send junk mail to people and or sell addresses. just my random thoughts. any body out there that did get accepted? I used a disposable e -mail site that I have for just that reason. I never give my primary e-mail address to phishing sites. | |

We probably will not be getting back together but I'm open to a commitment from her if/when she's ready if I'm still single. | |

If these forums are any accurate indication of this site's general membership, then they're right: this site is full of losers.

Last time I checked neither of them are in danger of going bankrupt. Marketing has always been as successful as the buying public lets it be. If you think you are a loser for being on this site, then a loser you will be. It's kinda like the guys who bought into the whole concept that buying a Corvette, or drinking Lite Beer, would make them more popular with the Ladies (I am sure you know who I mean). Me, I would rather take that website out back behind the shed and knock it's teeth in, and see if it still thinks we are losers then. I mean if I thought violence actually solved anything. Good luck!

Posted: 4/21/2007 7:33:26 AM | The other month, I got an email for the same site you mentioned. But, it was "from" AmericanSingles.com. Since I was a member several years ago, I wondered why I was getting an email now. However the email address I used when I joined AS is no longer active, and it was sent to one of my newer addresses.
So that's telling me the site mentioned in the OP is just spoofing email addresses from other dating sites as a way to not have me mark it as SPAM without reading it. In that sense, they were successful, I read it and marked it as SPAM.
