| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 3/23/2007 2:12:33 PM | My dolls pram - I loved it and all my baby dolls. Think I remember trying to squash my sister into it when she was very little | |
|
| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 3/23/2007 2:25:07 PM | From being about 8/9 i use to get £5 for xmas and my birthday from my mum.
I didn't really have anything to play with from that age, probably before that actually. But when i was 10, my nanna bought me a type writer and it was the best thing i ever had as a child.
I really enjoy writing about various things, and it all stemmed from tapping away for hours on end on that type writer.
|
| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 3/23/2007 2:29:41 PM | Gosh!! I remember the rubix cube taking a lot of hours of my time, i got so pissed off with it once that i took all the sticky things off and put them back on so that i claimed i had done it, however, i looked really silly when asked to prove it because i'd put all the colours back in the wrong order, what a twat!! Well, that inspired me to buy another one and learn't how to do it properly ! | |

| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 3/23/2007 2:39:17 PM | My fave toy was a whip and top.
Used to chalk coloured patterns on the top for when it spun !
I was actually in a car accident while going to the local shop to get some laces for my whip and top. Mum says I've never been right since !

The freaky shoulders and head that you could cover in make up, with really strange blonde hair that 'grew' from a hole in her head.

| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 4/15/2007 5:57:34 PM | My favourite toy was my “Airwolf” playset which had in it a small model "Airwolf" and "Santini's Helicopter" with "Santini's Jeep". I loved them and the show so much, I wanted more than anything to be Jan Michael Vincent (A.K.A Stringfellow Hawk) flying the "Lady" "On missions of national concern".
*Sighs* Great days, happy memories.

| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 4/15/2007 8:02:17 PM | I can't remember many toys apart from my beloved Tiny Tears and fuzzy felt, think we were "playing out" or just off out all day on our bikes. But i LOVED to read, especially Blyton, you couldn't beat it, Secret Seven, Famous Five, The Mystery Gang with Fatty, Malory Towers, St Clares..... Awwww fab | |
|
| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 4/15/2007 10:48:51 PM | I recall having a push chair that i can only describe as resembling a toadstool! abeit a colourful one! white and green with red pokadots on the white roof and it had a green bell on it I also had a cute doll to put in it.
I also remember owning a rubix cube, my first pair of roller skates, my Amstrad computer and my cheapest yet most time consuming game i owned My elastic for England, Ireland
|
| Childhood Toys !! Posted: 4/16/2007 1:27:54 AM | ^^^^ We did Elastics, called it French skipping for some reason... Fave toys... Operation was quite a good one. I had a Rubiks cube but never ever completed it. I eventually took the damn thing apart and rebuilt it. I could then make all the patterns in the colours, chequerboard, dot-in-the-middle, that sort of thing by twisting and turning but if it went wrong I would take it apart again. | |
