Posted: 3/28/2007 6:22:38 PM | I don' t think it is that difficult to get to the White Elephant. I have been to Englewood Beach before & it's very simple--take rt. 776 through Englewood & turn at the McDonalds in Englewood. Go over the bridge & you are in Englewood Beach.
Wouldn't mind trying out my FM radio reception. I got FM stations in the Keys from the McDonald's parking lot because the signal travels through the opening on the roadway to SR 776. | |

Posted: 3/29/2007 8:52:30 AM | Sorry gang, I've been gone for a few days. I thought Kimmie would have had her pics up by now. I gave her permission right away. I saw what she had and they were great. I gave 2 cameras out to people at the party and these are the photos that came out.
I'm glad everyone had a great time and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
I know who one of the hook ups were. But, I'm not letting the cat out of the bag. I'd like to give them time and see what happens.

I haven't heard from Kimmie today, we can't seem to get our schedules to work out. But Kimmie if you're out there, see if you can email them to my regular address and then I can download them if need be.
Hope all is well with everyone. I've been in an out all week. Holiday boy is home  and I've been running him all around so he can get back into the swing of things.

Posted: 3/31/2007 5:45:27 AM | Good Morning Gang, I haven't been home more than 6 hours in any 24, all week. I've been meeting deadlines for clients, having Jerry drop me off at my studio on his way to work at 4:30am(I don't have a car), working til 9-10pm and then home, back up at 3:30. SOooooooooo or should I say SEWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, I haven't had the computer time, nor any assistance to solve the problem!!! Bryce offered, yet he stays in Tampa during the week .He should be back in town this weekend and said he will help me with Pics. I went thru the procedure to "download" them from the camera into the "KodakEasyshare" program. Then, followed the procedure to "transfer from Kodak to My Pictures". From there I tried to "bring them up" and "Transfer" to am E-mail , then send and nothing happened. So, Laurene I can't E-mail to you.
This morning I'm I'll be working(at the studio), and will call Bryce. Actually gang, any of you could have offered to help me with pics if you had the knowlege. We bought a camera, took the pics, yet I'm a dummy at the computer. I guess I shouldn't have offered to take pics, until I knew I could get them back to you, sucessfully. Yet I'm no quitter and will succeed at this.
On a happier note (since you all have me hanging my head in shame), Bylle I'd gladly join your Bible Study, what are you studing on? I am reading Bruce Wilkersons books every morning, before I start working. It gives me something to think about while I"m working alone. The Prayer of Jabez, is about a guy that asked God to give him more responsibility to help others and how we can all do more to help others. I've got an extra copy I'll get to you(Bylle). Anyone wanting to do a Bible study in Punta Gorda, contact me and I'll do one at my studio, any day(or evening) of the week.
Laurene, how about a Laui theme for our next party. Haawwian decorations, hulla dancers, tropical clothes on the guests, ladies in flowered dresses, guys in surfer shorts, sippin' tropical drinks. Ron could inject coconuts this time??? Or Mango's or something!!!

Posted: 3/31/2007 6:32:55 AM | Kimmie-I love the idea of a laui. I know I'm the AOF, but how about if someone else hosts the next party and gives me a break. I'll help but it would be nice to be able to mingle a lit more with my friends the next time.
Kimmie- if you go into your Kodak Share and save each picture individually and name them, you will see that you can either email them to me or add them to the site. I hope you get it done before the weekend is over because they only allow 7 days on here to download photos onto the forum.
And Ron and I are friends, so not to worry everyone. We may not be dating anymore but we are adult enough to be friends and still kid around. Relationships don't always work out but friendships can last.
Frank-I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. You missed a good time but you know to keep in touch and we will get together soon.
Zed-I'm glad to hear you had such a great time that you talked a friend into joining POF. That's what I love about POF. I have made some great life long friends.
Bellalynda- Maybe we can encourage you to host the next party?
Bruce-I'm glad you also had a great time and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Kathy- I can see you really enjoyed those choc covered strawberries. Looks like they had an amourous effect. LOL

Maybe they will come out clearer if not sent thru this Forum.
Since Jerry and I live in Punta Gorda, close to Slip Knot and Burnt Store Cafe, We would be willing to Host the April party, call us Laurenes' AAOF's -assistant ambassadors of fun. We could make it a " Laui" if that is what most of the gang would like to do. I'll contact some of the local Dance schools and see if we can get some Hula Dancers to show up.???? What-da-ya-say gang???
Laurene, I'd need your leadership and advice on setting it up and would accept any help offered by others. Lynda (Bella Lynda), maybe we could do it together. I can work with Phil at Burnt Store Cafe, about doing some dinner specials with a Tropical
Flair?
Before I forget,I'd like to thank Bryce"POF-Swede2" for coming by on his way down from Tampa today to show me how to transfer the pics. We will have to buy him a drink or two to show our appreciation, at the next party. Bryce is moving down to Pine Island soon, and this was his first POF Party, and he even came with a guest.
He's a sweet guy Ladies, check him out.
