I mean, I realize it's a learning experience and needed to eventually learn what you really want from a mate, but frick...what a waste of time I could spend reading or something.
If by dating you mean spending time with someone that makes you weak in the knees, naw, I like it. | |

Posted: 5/16/2008 5:40:51 PM | YES OH YES! I once decided to stay single for 2 years, and just NOT LOOK. I was so sick of dating. Unfortunately, I didn't meet/talk or even get out of the house for 2 years. You have to kinda put yourself out there to find love.

Posted: 5/28/2008 6:18:32 AM | At our age (50+) we've have our kids already & are pretty much settled. The only thing missing is someone to add to our lives...someone who you can love & who will love you back!
Dating (especially on a dating site) is pretty much just a bunch of interviews. It's a hit & miss as far as finding that one person. There are a lot of wonderful people out there, but it seems impossible to find that one person who is willing to get to know you enough, because there are so many other people out there who may be a better catch.
There is also no point in settling either! If the chemistry is not there...don't waste anyones time, just to get a date.
These sites are only one way to find out who is available to meet. It doesn't mean that you have to date everyone you meet!
I figure that it'll happen, when it happens! There's no point in beating my head against the keyboard, waiting for that person to show up.

It sucks and I even took off my profile for awhile but as soon as I got back on, Boom, jerk city! Sick of it including "I just want to be friends." You are either interested or your not. Do not, guys, play those games with me. OK? | |
