| get this Alabama board going Posted: 12/13/2007 8:35:24 PM | Welcome Carmel... it is definitely good to have the board so maybe we can at least meet people close to home. I have had exceptional conversations and contacts that are just too far away to even consider a real date. That only adds to the frustration when really wanting to meet a person of the opposite sex. I'm very isolated here and the internet can at least make meeting and dating a real possibility. I've almost always had a woman in my life and this has been a huge change for me. I'm hoping cottonblossom will get a big Christmas bonus, buy a Harley and come pick me up! | |

| get this Alabama board going Posted: 12/14/2007 9:25:29 AM | Yep... I'll take a ride on even a honda... all I have now is a Yamaha and it's a water scooter, not a road scooter. Rather than chaps I have ski vests and no helment. If you want the condo on the beach that's a beautiful place to be. I'm spoiled to the lake and my condo is 24/7/365.... I'm here and waiting to hear your put put..... I'll put on the Roberta Flack tunes for you... then maybe the sound track from Easy Rider.
mood today... solemn or maybe serene.... any who...its full of thoughts and warm fuzzies.

There were several fawns around here in the spring. I have pictures of one other but can't pick out the details it is so well camouflaged. This particular one is the only one I've been close to. My old crazy dog has run bunches of deer out of the front yard.
Sugar britches... ya know ya had me in a good mood...then busted my bubbles... I gotta just learn to keep my mouth shut!
|

I think you've got a very serious side too and yet, there is a softer inner-self hiding beneath that shell. You're o.k. and I still like ya
BTW... enlighten me... what's "pc"?

Everything is good with me and I hope things are well with you. Thanks for the hug, and no I'm not offended. I would be if it were a guy giving me one...LOL
I'm not much into celebrating Christmas, although I am a christian (or Protestant turning Messianic), my faith has become much deeper over the yrs and leading me away from certain christian events, but I better not get into that subject. What I miss the most about Christmas as a child? Being scared that Santa would catch me up when he arrived. Oh yeah, the cooking too. Dang, I'm getting hungry now!
to you, my friend..... Shalom

| get this Alabama board going Posted: 12/17/2007 6:58:00 AM | | Morning Y'all cotton I think the things I miss most are family members who are no longer here to celebrate with, on a lighter note, I miss all the smells of mom's cookin, the fireplace, (even tho I had to chop the wood..), I think this year I'm missing the snow, been a bunch up at my sis's place. it's all good tho! peace to all, Tim | |

| get this Alabama board going Posted: 12/17/2007 5:45:32 PM | | Same here Pat...welcome home!.... This is going to be a very odd Christmas for me. I moved here over a year ago, now I'm totally alone for the first time ever. When she left it was like my whole family left. I now have a grandson and two wonderful kids but virtually all of the family I remember are gone now. I've always had Christmas with family and this is the first time EVER that I'll probably just be with friends and only a "maybe" with family. I've grown to appreciate friends far more than ever before since becoming single again. Beginning to feel like a puppy taken in for Christmas day! | |

It had been just like 2 weeks before I got iced/snowed in Ohio..had enough of ice & snow this yr..omg I hate to think of shoveling out to get to work..you sure your missing the snow? :)

| get this Alabama board going Posted: 12/18/2007 6:17:24 AM | Yeah, believe it or not I do miss it, esp. being out in the woods after a snowfall, so quiet and peacefull, but your right don't really miss the shoveling, course thats what tractors are for!!! Tim | |
