Posted: 12/18/2007 11:47:21 AM | tmac..Just saying again when you get the time (or make it) to get away for a weekend.get to Cheaha Mt...once you get up the Mt. there is a rest. on the very top..you can eat or just get coffee & look out at the Mt. below..there are even cabins,chalets you can rent,there is a motel but unless you want the hot-tub get a cabin:)
You reminded me of the peace & quiet after it snows..there is somewhere I had to be,it was on a reservation called the "North Country" I think.anyway..they sell wood/timber (high end) but beautiful wood & I was there when it started snowing..it was like that when we left out..I didn't want to go then..not until I stepped out about 30 seconds lol....we picked a lighter colored hardwood than we could get here in Alabama..
I hope you make it to Cheaha..take the medium hike out to Bald Eagles Rock..worth the time & effort,very much..
I have never been on a snowmobile..just thought of that..any fun if the answer is yes? | |

Posted: 12/18/2007 3:14:23 PM | funny you should mention cheaha again, I have to take a 'puter tower down to B'ham next week and thought i would go and check it out at the same time, we're shut down but the tower needs some work so i will be free after I drop it off. I'll pack the camera and have fun. snowmobiles are fun esp. on trails, frozen lakes are good also, used to go to winter fests on some lakes and watch or ride in races, don't know if I would race them now, I don't heal as quick!!! lmao  | |

Then my late gf took me by the hand and led me across the border. I usually go to Chatham at least once a yr since she passed-away (Dec. 27 2001) to keep in touch with the family. I know how it is about healing now..I just didn't know what to think really when I had to start using deep heat after moving certain ways on certain days lol
I will let you now when I get to that snowmobile the first time.gotta do it now..
oh yes,when you get half way up the Mt. you will see camp mac..and there is a lake there..anyway..when I was younger my Dad would put a watermelon in the sand & the water running over it made it really cold....I need to get my own butt back up there and start doing things like that again..have fun

Posted: 12/21/2007 4:13:49 PM | IRock & Tmac..can I go fishing and hunting with you guys??..pleeeeease! lol..I wouldn't have a clue (have to buy some) how to bait the hook..I used to go fishing with my Daddy but he always would bait my hook and by the time he got his hook wet he was having to take the fish off my line and rebait it for me....
I love talking to you guys!..sometimes I start humming that song memories after I get going on here..I did think more women would eventually join in..check in..chat etc..now all of you Alabama women (you know who you are) that moans about no man will even chat with you..come on please lol..and I have seen some very,very attractive & nice women from this state..the men are cool too....
