Remembering the loves gained and lost
Each one special in their own unique way
Worth the heartache and pain they all cost.
A longing that tugs every night and each day
Awakening desires hidden away
Wondering if ever I'll just be free
Within a collar deigned just for me.
Remembering the look of this one or the touch of that
The words of another flooding my soul
The honeyed caress of a former lovers hand
Washing over me like tidal waves roll.
A part of me wanting to go back in time
But to which command I dare not speak
A longing to return to good times we shared
Hoping to find that fulfillment I seek.
Memories like cobwebs in the corner of my mind
Continue to haunt fleeting dreams every night
The girl within struggling to find her way
To that moment in time that will be worth the fight.

I drift through the night on crimson wings
Alone, haunted by memories of you
In my mind I can still feel you
Your lips brushing against mine
My fingertips tracing the curves of your body
Aphrodite's only rival,
Silky skin, the taste of peaches
I can feel your heat, essence of fire
Burning me, consuming me until there is nothing left
We melt into each other, becoming one
Sliding, gliding, in perfect rhythm
Your eyes looking into mine, seeing my soul
And somehow finding me worthy of you.
You bite your lip, muffling a scream
My heart pounds, I tremble in your embrace
One moment of bliss that seems to last a lifetime
Immortality in the blink of an eye
But you are hidden from me now
A memory that plagues my every waking moment
Redemption always outside my grasp
Salvation lost to me forever
But I don't haunt you, do I?
You have him now and I have been forgotten
And I can't help but wonder
Does he feel your fire the way I did
Does he know the power of your touch
The way your eyes see into the soul

laying in darkness trembling in fear
a heart beats rapidly urging someone to make this right
when a soft whisper of a voice can be heard almost mystically
"I am here with you this night"
fears must be faced boldly
acts of courage a voice encourages a desperate soul to meet
"you are not alone my child is spoken clearly"
accomplish can you any given feat
what has come to pass needs to be
although of it you clearly do not understand
stripped are you now to a state of nothingness
this is the time for you to solidly take my hand
this world is a constant struggle
only those with great spirit will conquer what before them shall lay
