Posted: 11/14/2007 1:33:32 PM | As an atheist, I think I'd go to three events: Moses threatening Ramses II and seeing how that actually panned out, the Last Supper to The Resurrection - and make sure to take DNA samples from live Christ and dead Christ (among other things), and the war that led up to the event that the holiday Chanukkah is based on (I'd like to see those candles actually burn for 8 days ;))
Then I'd keep mum about the whole thing if there's proof that there was no "god" involved :P
Other than that...I think I'd like to see the 1967 Expo, just to see DeGaulle say the ignorant words that got him exiled...the only person I know of that's exiled from Canada :P | |

Then I would explain POF and tell my younger self to make better choices about affairs of the heart. So as to avoid having to go to online dating sites decades later.

Actually, Einstein proved that in theory time travel is possible, but only into the future and only one way.
I don't know where to start on time travel. Into the past, of course. For fun, I'd like to go to the Roaring 20s and have a blast at a speak-easy and look at all the cool antiques, particularly the cars.
I'd also like to go back to when they built the pyramids and see just how in the hell they built them to settle the question once and for all.
Even further back to observe dinosaurs.
Last but not least, go back to when I was a teenager and slap some sense into myself. | |

As much as I loved 1983, the music of that era was really bad, especially that stupid techno pop/dance-pop trash. Madonna was one of the worst of them. That stuff sounded like annoying noise to the point that I would rather hear fingers going down a chalkboard! There's nothing like classic rock, the blues, and big band jazz. Even hip hop sounds better than that dastardly dance pop junk. | |

One of the reasons people would want to travel through time is to see actual events take place. To see for themselves if the historians got it right. Remember, history is constently being re-written in our history books.
Example: For the longest of times, Christopher Columbus was hailed as the one who discovered the Americas. But there is evidence to show that the Egyptians had trade going on with the navtives americans long before him. Not only that, up until recently, no one wanted to even talk about Columbus dealing in the transportation of slaves. I do not condem the man for what he did. He was a product of his era. I simply point out these facts as having been "ignored" by historians over the centuries. | |
