I would love it!!
I learned to shoot at the age of 7. But don't give me a 30-30...learned the hard way as a teen that I just don't have the strength to keep that from knocking me on my keester

I am surprised by the number of women saying that they would love it! Is it just that I am wrong about women or that only women who like guns are replying.
Personally, I would not like that sort of date at all.

I use to go to the range a lot before I had the kids... I think my eyesight has suffered a lot since... not as sharp and I wear bi-focals now.

I would love to get back into it... it was a lot of fun...skill involved and something that I really enjoyed.

Women who are willing to try activities that scare the timid tend to have LOTS more fun in relationships. If naught else, go and see if you like it...some gals get a real thrill from firing automatic weapons...probably has something to do with the vibes

Not a bad idea, if both are into "squeezing some rounds" ... Even though that means you are going to a date armed, and with a bag full of ammo...
Not much for conversation grounds, and your hearing is affected for a couple of hours too... eh??? On the plus side, you get to know if your date can cover your back efficiently..

once i took a date shooting. bought her a box of 500 .22 shells, and drove out in the desert -let her shoot the whole box, along with the 12 ga shotgun -(lots of junk dumped out there). after that we stopped somewhere for lunch. -she loved the whole afternoon.
on the way back someone totally cut us off on the freeway, she looks at me and asks: -want me to shoot at him? -i think i created a monster

It would be a great date. I'd love it. Heck, I'd even bring my own gun and ammo.

As a first date, personally its not for me. If I was someone who was more into it, I'd be all for it, very original.

However, I am open to trying new things, and am willing to give my partners interest a try. So a little further down the road if a guy I was seeing asked me to shoot some rounds with him, I'd certainly be willing.

It wouldn't be something I would want to do on a first date, because I want to be able to look cute on a first date...and the eyes and ears you are required to wear on the range for safety are NOT cute!

But, I wouldn't be opposed to it down the road. In fact, if I was interested in a guy, and he had an interest or a hobby that could be made into a date, I would certainly be up for trying it at least once.

If it is something I had already done before and DIDN'T enjoy...I like to think that I would try it again with the new guy, in the hopes that better company would make for a more positive experience.

I could post several dozen pics of gals at the range not only looking Cute, but downright HOT!! It's amazing what a pink tanktop & some tight shorts can do...

might have more respect (or be very afraid of her) if you find out your new date can handle a gun like annie oakley

Perfect! It's my hobby too!

But you need to find out if that is her hobby, if it's not her hobby, better not do it.

If it's her hobby, it's a good place for the first date.

If it's not...good place for a 5th. Love me, love my hobbies. Or at least come to an understanding with them.

I won't kvetch about your 300 pairs of shoes if you won't kvetch about my guns. At least all mine fit in a safe...yours takes up a whole dang CLOSET!!

I think it's a great date activity. I haven't been to the range in years, but my dad made sure my sister and I learned fairly early on. That being said, I'd have to get to know a guy better before heading to the range with him.

Fun, fun.

I remember a brown-eyed boy with automatic weapons in the woods and 2 liter bottles full of water. It's fun to watch them explode.
