Nope, definately would not like that but Im from Australia and suspect most of the women here are from USA. (more used to and comfortable with guns)
I wouldnt even know where there is such a thing, Ive heard of some paintball places but thats about it.

What happened in Australia with the gun confiscation is appalling. I know for a fact that some of our own esteemed members of government here would do the same thing if given the opportunity.

I think I need to tell some of the single guys on one of the gun forums I'm on about this place. Everyone hopes to find a woman that accepts that fact he has guns yet find it very difficult to do so.

Heh, this thread is actually being talked about over on the biggest gun forum on the internet

I'm a competition shooter, mostly the evil black rifles and handguns that liberals seem to hate sooooooo much.

I've dated a few women that were into shooting a little bit, but if I could find one as into it as me. I'd make sure she had a very happy life and a good husband.

Since the long while i created this thread i have offered many women to go to the Range with me. its so funny as of yesterday i asked the 10th person. only one person prior didnt want to try out shooting. so 9 out of 10...pretty damn good statistics so far.

*whistling and humming to his-old-self* jotting down names and checking for local profiles in the right age range muttering "who, me?"

Being a firearms instructor (rifle & shotgun) and RSO has it's perks. I don't mind when I get out-shot, keeps my usual over-inflated ego in check

This is one of those activities that may not make the cut for a first meeting with a 'date' interest, might work as a place to meet for activity partner or friends outing. Heh.... POF Party and meet & greet at a range. Wear a blaze orange carnation.

Jokes about fish and barrels accepted.

Yes it does!

I know a few women that have chosen the guy with the concealed handgun license over the guy that was scared of guns.

One can protect people, the other is showing a sign of sexual and emotional immaturity according to Freud.

Oh, yes it does. For me it quickly weeds out the guys who don't like girls with guns. All I have to do is mention I am an instructor and watch how they react.

I love watching guys that can't deal that. Few weeks ago at an IDPA match we actually had a guy whining that we had women there. He said it was a mans sport, I had no greater joy than calling zeros and ones after she shot and threes and fives, with slower times, after he shot.

Fact, women have the ability to shoot more accurately than men, Soviets have been very succesful in employing women as snipers for a very long time.

I love that attitude. I've actually had that attitude in classes from guys. I have always offered a refund, if they didn't learn something they did not know by the end of the class. So far, I've never had to refund a dime.

I even had one guy tell me that 'girls belong in the kitchen cooking and guys should be out with the guns'. I had to laugh because the man could not shoot for anything - I would have been thrilled if he hit the target - forget center mass - the target would have been cool.

Figured i would ask the ladies to see your thoughts, im wondering, how would you feel if your date took you to a range to squeeze off some rounds?

bad date activity? boring? not personal? no real communication in such an activity?
I've shot a gun a couple of times...but going to a shooting range?.....HELL YA!!!!

POF is just as good as AR15.com. I didn't know that so many fine open minded ladies could exist elsewhere. And they're single to boot. Woohoo.

I dunno, I've spent enough time in the political forum here to know that we are drastically outnumbered.

But this isn't the political forum so in a way we're weeding those types out. I actually feel comfortable talking about guns here and just knowing that there are women that would enjoy a trip to the range as a first date is awesome man. Freaking awesome I tell ya.

I'm tempted to go change the part about the ideal first date on my profile and write down a trip to the shooting range instead. I'll bring the AR's, AK's and hell, even the Micro Galil. You just bring ear plugs and an open mind.

A brief tale of amusement... I run shooting sports program at a Scout Camp. Once a week we open the range to adults who have been in camp to blow off some steam and relax (no kids around). One of the Scout Moms had asked a couple of times about the program and was pretty eager to get some free time of her own to shoot. Especially trap. Our regular shotgun instructor is a young man of about 22 and quite competitive- The Mom gets to the range and asks if she can "try the skeet thingy". Staff guy does his best to show her how to hold the gun, point, swing to target, and pull the trigger all the time noticing her MILF status (cute, married, a safe flirt). She plays coy, takes the gun, instructor loads one round and before he notices she calls "PULL" shoulders and blasts the bird out of the sky. He flinches, reloads for her, and she does it again. 5 or 6 perfect shots later, he's feeling quite ummmm... small and beaten, and she lets on that she "might have done this once or twice before"... Yeah, I knew. 3 time woman's trap & skeet shooter in the county, been doing it 20+ years.

That's pretty good charon. Kind of blows my thinking of women and guns out of the water. The same goes for what's been posted here by the ladies as well.

I need to find a woman that enjoys trap shooting to teach me how lol.

I know the theory and technique behind it, I just can't do it. I'm horrid wiht a shotgun. Never could figure out why.

Unless it's my friends NFA registered AOW 12 ga mossberg with a 10inch barrel and breaching muzzle. I have fun busting hinges with that

Other than that, everything around me is safe if I have a shotgun

If you knew your date was into it and you were confident she knew what she was talking about (i wouldnt take a newbie out on the range if you paid me! lol), then heck yeah,,that'd be a rockin date. I once dated a guy (this was many years ago) who's dad used to take me out back to skeet shoot with him while my bf worked on his car. lol My bf hated guns, so whenever i went over there,,his dad had me to compete with. lol

Have fun!
