When I first started working out, about 6 months ago, I weighed in at about 135 lbs, 6ft tall even. Now, I weigh 150 lbs
That's pretty good gain...
I think it's hardest for skinny guys to gain weight, my metabolism was really high and no matter or how much I ate I couldn't gain weight until I hit about 25ish.
To loose weight all you have to do is cut our the crap, you don't even need to excersize. Women have it a lot easeir.

| skinny men Posted: 6/4/2008 1:31:35 PM | Yeah, I went from being an emaciated zombie, to a skinny rail. Just gotta keep at it. My abs are coming in nicely. By the end of July I should have a six pack | |

| skinny men Posted: 6/5/2008 2:02:37 AM | Man... I had a whole thing typed out but it's too long for my tastes.
There's a guy I know, really skinny, doesn't gain weight, we're talkin 155-160 pounds at 6'4'', this guy doesn't hit the gym and has a 6-pack, he doesn't eat healthy, he's got no fat on his body, he has some psychological problems, he smokes a lot of pot, he doesn't go to work.
This dude can't get a girl to save his life and the sad part is it's because he doesn't act on it, women throw themselves at him all the time, I've heard the stories from some women, I get to watch other times when we're out and about.
I think the ladies can take away something from this, men have the same kind of social expectations of physical beauty as you do, well relatively the same anyway... heh.

| skinny men Posted: 6/5/2008 10:16:51 AM | | well it is like with me I don't expect to meet someone as I am not that attractive so when I do get approached I am just speechless as I deem myself an ugly mug | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 6/5/2008 3:17:54 PM | | There is nothing wrong with being skinny. What kind of a heart do you have? | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 6/8/2008 7:42:14 AM | | i don't have a heart any more... | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 6/8/2008 6:32:59 PM | Zombies on PoF now huh? Well that's ok as long as you warn people before hand, most people don't find rotting sexy.
I still love seeing the skinny guys in the gym trying to bulk up in the weight room, but still can't do 10 minutes of cardio.
Looking fit doesn't mean you are fit.
|
| skinny men Posted: 6/8/2008 7:01:53 PM | | Stephen I don't know where you're from (Cuz I didn't look) but I'm takin the next plane there! It's like the exact opposite here. Women seem to drool over guys who are skinny! Although I do see some couples where the guy is fat and the girl is attractive. I will never understand that. | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 6/8/2008 7:56:53 PM | hmmm... I guess it's all perspective, Some women consider me skinny... I have a 32" waist a 42" chest and I regularly do sets of 225 on bench... I'm 5'10 and 165~170 lbs.
Ironically I'm at the top end of my "ideal weight" based on almost any chart you use.
I think some of you have had your vision skewed of what an "average" person is... http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm

| skinny men Posted: 6/8/2008 8:43:17 PM | | I would never date a skinny man, it's not attractive IMO. | |

Now I have this idea that women find skinny men and I mean skinny like myself extremely unattractive is that true? Thinking that I have only a 30'' waist makes all the ladies flee from a walking skeleton so I assume I'd better retire from the hunt:) give your opinions...
I'm a guy, and I used to think the way that you do. It really depends on how tall and muscular you are. If you have a 30" waist and are scrawny, many women will be immediately turned off. However, if you have a 30" waist but work out enough so that you have relatively broad shoulders and a nice "V shape," along with an overall athletic build, you will definitely get attention from more women.

| skinny men Posted: 6/8/2008 11:44:02 PM | I myself like heavier men but thats just my taste. Maybe because I am full figured I just feel more comfy with a man with meat on his bones, and I do love the feel of big strong arms around me. But everyone has things they like and dislike when looking for a mate, it doesnt make it right or wrong, just a variety. If youre comfortable with your weight and your looks then thats what matters, you will find the one that thinks youre just PERFECT ! Wen | |

|
| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 9:50:07 AM | | people where very mean to me when I was skinny now that Im 200 pounds with a 35" waist. now people just leave me :):) | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 10:27:22 AM | Excuse me but, What's waist size got to do with being skinny? I have 30" waist, I am 5'9" and weigh 225lbs as of yesterday morning. So that means I am skinny? | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 2:46:23 PM | That's what i was just thinking since when does waist size equate to how skinny or fat you are? lol
I've been both ends of the scale, im 6'5" and was really skinny never had a problem with dates but i felt uncomfortable so i lifted weights for about 4 years. The key thing here is whatever you do it has to be for yourself, 90% of guys in the gym are trying to to impress girls with muscles. I dont see the point, do it for yourself until YOU are happy with your own body... when ur happy and feel confident in yourself then your charisma, personality and confidence will be your biggest assets in dating not the amount of muscle mass you have.

| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 3:21:22 PM | | Anybody notice that skinny guys are far more common than skinny girls? | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 3:27:36 PM | I find any man unattractive if when he walks in or near me I think to myself "I can easily kick his ass"
This is not appealling.
If I am BIGGER than he is.
We have a problem.
I'm petite. I'm tiny. I am a small framed woman.
I expect and require a man to be larger than I am physically.

It's quite normal because women carry more fat cells than men do. Almost 25% of a woman's body is fat, it's about 15% for men. Also their lack of testosterone is another reason............

And when the girl is 80% body fat what's the excuse for her then?

Laziness..Oh wait did I say that loud? damn... I meant to say, it could be "medical reasons" and such... if you know what I mean...
|
| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 3:57:01 PM | Well you know some girls are just big-assed oops I mean big-boned. See their metabolisms are unable to process 2 gallons of soda pop each day so it over reacts and produces too much bodyfat. It's bad genetics, just ask Pepsi. | |
|
| skinny men Posted: 8/10/2008 4:01:28 PM | | Oh yes. Genetics and slow metabolism. Two very important excuses, I mean reasons. | |
