I could probably be there to help, I might be running around with Laurene. I've tried to get something else going like a muesem or kayaking but haven't had any luck getting much interest or anybody that knows more about the area than me, which is pretty limited.
If anybody knows about any marine thrift (AKA, junk, salvage, bargain, used) stores in the area let me know. Or something like a super thrift store that sells by the pound, found one in Charleston when I was there. It was the Goodwill clearance center. They sold everything that didn't sell at the normal stores and all the surplus donations that they didn't have time to price or categorize. I got my new coyboy boots there for $1.76, all shoes are that price, most shoes have the laces tied together but for boots you had dig through 4 big crates to find the match. It was worth it. If your ever in the area it's on north Rivers. I bought all kinds of stuff there. I'll be back. It's also just down the street for the marine salvage store.

Or Maybe one of Burnt Store Grills Steaks?? I know you guys...."Kim-cut the fruit talk-where's the Beef???
Anyone new to this party site, please e-mail me or just post on here that you are joining us for dinner-at Burnt Store Grill.
The computer is popping out Flyers, the digital camera's-leggs shots, the sound system-"Tiny Bubbles" and "Aloha Oe", and the kitchen counters are full of Coconuts, at our home!
Jerry's gone to work in a hula skirt instead of Jeans and a work shirt. Boy is he going to be suprizes when he looks down at his lap and realizes what he has done. Head him off on I-75 guys-before he imbarasses himself and ends up on the 6pm news...........................................and Lynda was worried about her co-workers seeing her practice the Hula.......Love you all, Kimmie | |

Posted: 4/26/2007 8:49:39 AM | We have approval to get in and start setting up at 1:00 on Saturday-we need to give the cleaning crew time to do their thing first.
We will need staple guns-I have one elect. powered gun, will also need Office type for smaller application. Masking tape/staples/twist ties/string/wire and anything that seems like it would be useful will be apperciated as a donation.
Newcomers-FYI-POF parties are not funded and run on donations of those participating in the activities. Get active....it's alot of fun to be a part of putting these parties together. You will meet new friends under diffrent cercumstances, instead of the "all so awkward " one-on-one first dates.
Buffy, can we come by for Palm branches prior to setting up, or do you need the guys to come out at another time? We will try to work around your schedule.

Posted: 4/26/2007 9:22:33 AM | Kimmie- I won't be able to help with the set up because I work on Saturday and Jon will be meeting me at my home so I'm not sure what his schedule will be either. I'll just barely make it to the Burnt Store by 4pm.
As you know I've been getting more emails from those who are attending but for some reason don't want to "officially sign up" so gang it looks like once again this party like the ones is going to be fun, fun, fun.
I went on a bike run last evening with some fellow POF ers and met some new friends also that I invited to the party, so if you want to be sure to have a chair to sit in at the Slip Not, I suggest you arrive early.
