I think there might be a bit of a generational thing going on here, from my perspective it appears that those my age think its normal and 'better' to be shaven, but I would say that is not the case for the other generations.

Sum: It has nothing to do with self-respecting. What's the big deal? It's not like you're hurting yourself by doing it. Personally, I like the feel of it shaved down there. Nice and smooth. And for those guys with small peckers - it makes them look bigger too, which is a nice plus. Furthermore, any woman to ventures into that region doesn't get a free dental floss... which is usually appreciated.
I'm single and not very sexually active, so I generally just let it grow because I'm lazy. But if I'm with a girl, I'll usually keep it trimmed or shaved; whatever she likes. | |

Posted: 4/5/2007 1:32:49 PM | i just shave it all off. it's so much easier than to trim it. plus sex and masturbation feels so much better when its shaved and smooth. somehow the hairless surface enhances the sensation.
i find now that since i've started shaving, i don't wanna go back to hair.
i usually shave once a month so some hair does grow back a little, but i eventually shave it off again.
and it's a lot more comfortable and less itchy during the summer! | |

The majority of women preferred neatly trimmed (a Brazilian with a mustache), a minority preferred completely shaved (no hair at all) and almost none preferred au naturale (no sharp objects near the crotch ever).
Men, what does this tell you that you aren't hearing from the vast majority of female resondents to this thread?

Posted: 4/5/2007 3:15:32 PM | It's common courtesy. If a guy expects a girl to go down on him, then he should at least make be trimmed nicely if not shaved. All the women I've been with have preferred it trimmed/shaved. They've said it makes giving oral much more enjoyable.

Jock Itch...nuff said...that area has to be shaved and trimmed properly, else I walk around with my hand down my pants scratching down there and I ain't gonna try to 'splain that one to a cop...again...
Hair on the back, it goes, so does the hair on the top of the feet (at 6'3" I must be the worlds tallest hobbit!) because it pulls on my socks that are pulled on by my shoes and its only a few strands but it is uncomfortable.
Also add hair under the armpit. Sorry, that goes too, the stink factor goes down by 400% if there isn't any hair there.
Gay? Well during Roman times, they used to pull every hair out by the root. So society wafts and wanes.
Me, its for hygeine and if I get added bonuses out of it so be it.
