My family is big on nicknames, including adding "Lou" to the end of any name within mocking distance. The Who part is an addition of my sister's that she'd use on occasion, since I am the smallest Who in all of Whoville. I've been tessawho since I got online in the bad old days.
Hell, even Tessa is a nickname, though I've gone by it for years now IRL .
I actually got off easy, considering I have relatives nicknamed Bud, Daisy, Rocky, Buck, Tootsie, and Doc. (No Happy, Dopey, Sleazy, or Grumpy, though most of these describe my brother...)
sweetkristine, I think you should keep your name, it's different enough from the other!

i love your profile name now that i know what it means!!!!

awesome....gives a whole new meaning to "treasure trail" doesn't it?
I've only been to the Glenkinchie and Glengoyne distilleries... one was just outside of Edinburgh and one outside of Glasgow.

have you tried one from the isle of mcarran? it's a new distillery and i only found a bottle in the uk (you can't buy it here....)

| Explaining the origin of your profile name.... Posted: 4/25/2005 12:03:19 PM | I went through a lot of screen names in the early internet years. Then the online life stopped for some years. I came back a year and a half ago with "katyz24".
"Kat" is not my name but rather a reflection of the animal I love and feel identified with. I've also been called a viper, so go figure lol. My first profile pictures in other websites were kitties, so many online friends started calling me "Katz". The complete name actually means "cat is 24" since I was 24 at that time. So I got rid of the 24 part when I signed on to POF. Not very original, but it's grown on me.

No, I've not heard of the new one from Isle of McArran. Are you certain it's not Isle of Arran? I have been to Arran (off thw west coast of Scotland) and they were going to restart a distillery there....
Peaty is ok, but I dont like the ones that are too briney tasting (such as Bowmore).
The coolest thing about the Glenkinchie Distillery is that it's part of a network of single malt producers so I got to sample around 8 different whiskies from all over Scotland. Afterwards, I hobbled over to the bus stop and barely recall the ride back to the city.
I also love the smell of distilleries and of fortified wine producing places (I don't know what they're called...wineries?). If you go to southern Spain make sure you visit some of the Sherry houses in Jerez de la Frontera.

My kicking ass girlfriend is very much into faery tales, so when I left if to her to find me a name, she decided I needed to be a woodland nymph.
Ainsel means 'Ownself'.
