Posted: 9/25/2007 6:57:07 PM | I, too, have images on my profile, that not only attract, but are an intrest to other POF members.POF has deleted them as not being what you concider headshots. Personally, I can apprecite your sensitivity in just "what" images go on profiles. I think its fair if POF has a system that at least 1 of 2 pics must incluse headshots, 2 of 4, 5 of 8, etc. POF obvioulsly can not control who posts their 'own' pics or pics from 20 years ago! (my most recent dating incident...lol!)....but as for nudity, sex, hate or discriminatory pics , you do provide an option on 'rate me' which I am compelled to report. My or *Vosche (above) personal works of art do not cheapen your site. Spend some time on "Rate Me" alone, and leave the ones who's works of art or photography alone. Pics as this cheapen your site:

being a digital artist and wanting to share my work, instead i have to suffer censorship by the likes of those that are self-appointed tattle tales instead
There are plenty of places to display it. This is a dating site, not an art museum.

Posted: 10/21/2007 5:07:30 AM | i appreciate your reasons for your policy. i, too, would like to eliminate joke pics and frauds. however, i have one issue with this policy i hope you can address:
i'm not completely "out of the closet" and therefore wouldn't want people in my life to recognise me. i'd rather put a partial pic of myself (or less clear one) that none at all, and i'm sure others would rather see something rather than nothing. i have clear pics that i send people who i'm interested in, so it's not like they dont get pics from me. its just that having semi-clear pics in the initial profile, allows me to maintain my privacy, while at least giving people a sense of my body type before our full-on private pic exchange.
but your policy makes it tough for me to make my profile better and more attractive (with at least some pics, rather than none). please help. | |

It is a conflict of ideas. If you don't want people expressing artistic ideas then cut that crap out too ... since you seem to think artistic images are crap .....
Oh and that vote in post #1 ....
its months later ... and last time I looked the uploading area said
"ALL pictures MUST contain you in it with a visible head shot at minimum"
so why aren't you going along with the survey and only making it the main picture?
Or you don't care what people like as long as you find a date.

Posted: 12/19/2007 4:52:04 PM | Protecting others from people who load up an image of anything just so they can meet people who insist upon an image is fine. But like I said when this feature came out, one true head shot of a person should suffice.
I put up a beautiful image from a Christmas e-card my friend sent me yesterday. It showed an angel watching over the earth by night. Today it's deleted so I guess it offended someone because the picture of my tattoo on my hip was left intact.
It wasn't even my main image so why it's gone is beyond me. | |

Yeah, some men seem to think that they can't have their toys in additional photos. I was a bit bashed on another thread because a guy insisted that the old photo of him was good because it had his old car...
I really just like knowing I am looking at a current photo of a guy. I feel like I am looking at someone that might be truthful. I say might, because I know it isn't always the case. I know I try to keep current photos on. | |

There is a fellow in my community that is using shots from GQ... it is so obvious. Those must be the insecure and fearful. Poor them. I have messaged them with my observations and they don't get my twisted humour. So what. There are lots of fish in this pond.
