Posted: 8/28/2009 12:33:32 PM | I had some time off and discovered the button to allow you to delete unsuitable pictures - some are clearly unsuitable (porn). I am reluctant to delete shirtless pictures as I believe it warns a girl about the man's character/intentions and to be honest they are not necessarily indecent. The ones I find most irritating are the primary photos that technically have a head shot but it is so obscured by distance or backlighting that it is impossible to know what the person actually looks like - I think admin should advise reviewers to delete these shots too. In my own case I had long e-mail conversations with a man whose pictures were from some distance away, he met a couple of women before me and admitted finally, when we had arranged to meet that he had a serious eye disfigurement.
I would be breaking the rules to post the nature of the condition but, as a matter of interest, just in case you think I was mean calling it off, when I looked this up on my ligitimate medical sites it said men with this condition are also infertile!! | |

But my glasses and hat are my style. They reflect who I am and in my opinion, should be acceptable. 
It is still quit obvious however that I am a decent looking guy. And that is all that really matters now, isn’t it? | |

I find I get far too many booty emails, and would be willing to release a pic once I get past that initial screen, but that is not an option here.... so I have no picture.... You can send them in a pof-mail.

Posted: 9/13/2009 5:40:35 PM | I accidentally deleted all the images off of POF and have had zero success restoring them. I am unable to load my picture as well. When I go to report the kind of picture used ... it shows me my correct head shot. I have even tried to create a new account.... but I think I have told my computer something that will not allow me to see any pictures on POF.

I have been a member here since 03-03-08 and why wasn't it deleted a long time if it didn't follow the rules? I had a picture of my face with a hat on in a suit and it was taken at a portrait studio. The main picture clearly showed my head and the rest of my body in a suit jacket and dress pants. So I will upload another picture but where did I violate these guidelines? That is what I want to know even though I will upload another picture at a later date. | |

Posted: 9/27/2009 10:19:01 AM | My photo was deleted on 9/25/09, although it clearly met guidelines and at least 80% of the photos I've seen as the main photo would also have to be deleted if whatever guidelines restricted mine were applied. Mine contained a head image larger than many and I was dressed in a high-necked tee shirt and clean, intact jeans--nothing offensive. (I was at a major dog show and you'd have to be incredibly socially unaware to look even a tad vulgar in that crowd.)
Since I suspect it was reported as a vindictive action, I would like to know how this can be corrected. If I set about reporting every photo which is comparable to mine, there would barely be any left on the site. Clearly posting another photo would not be worthwhile, as whoever reported this one will just report the next.
At this point, I would be hard-pressed to recommend this site, as I had been, to others, unless I know that there is some protection from anonymous nastiness determining who can participate. | |

In the past 5 days alone I've had 3 pics deleted with a nasty (copy and paste) message from admin, threatening to remove my upload privileges.
My pics have been up for sometime - 1 in particular was fine for almost a year - it was a Clear headshot that could Not be mistaken for anyone but me.

I just went to put an updated picture on my profile, removed one so that I could replace it with another, but for some reason, the browse/upload box is gone.
I have not done anything wrong and have not received any mail of such from any moderator so what is the problem?
Does anyone know if the site is being re-vamped or is there a problem with the images section?
Any help is appreciated.

Its sexest that women are allowed to wear skimpy outfits on here but I cant go shirtless. As long as its tasteful and there is a head shot in it then why is it a big deal? also you have been deleting a pic of me with my niece and nephew. Why? there is no rules or regulations of it; its just a picture of me with my neice and nephew. I would very much like to report to somebody higher up if possible because the fact that this picture is deleted makes no sense and offends me. | |
