That sucks........because my picture was deleted,and I'm in the 30% that were real......and I should have the right to stay anonymous and show a shirtless pic without a head.
I think it's bullsh.it ......and I'm going to keep venting until I'm out of steam.

Or maybe the guys could like, superimpose a pic of their top head over the lil guy and it would qualify as a face shot?

but some angry chatter went and reported me. i suspect it was prolly a male whose email i maybe didn't respond to? silly.
i dont like this gestapo reporting feature but I will abide by the rules.

Posted: 4/9/2007 7:02:34 AM | The admin says that only the main pic has to be a clear head shot. Well if that is so, then people should ONLY be able to report the MAIN picture, and not all of them. I know of another FREE dating/friends site which you must a visible face shot for the first 3 pics, but they also allow a gallery that you can put anything you want. That site seems to be growing quite fast incidently. Maybe it will grow even faster now with the new lack of freedom on this site.
Personally, I don't see what the big deal is about putting pics up of your car, dog, cat, or whatever. As has been said, it's not JUST a site for dating, but friendships or chatting. If someone messages you without a picture of them, you have the right to block, delete, not respond, to anyone you don't want to talk to. If someone is looking for friendship and you are looking for dating, you can stop them from messaging you in your email restrictions. I really don't understand how this new feature will make the site better. There are already plenty of tools in place that are designed to filter out unwanted emails.
It seems that the admin won't be happy until everybody has the same un-original, unimaginative, boring, cookie cutter profile.

I had all my pics deleted except one head shot
Had a pic of me on my notor bike.....me full body...oh yeah i had a helmet on damn....so much for safety
The reason people put other pics up is because it represents another part of their life and tells a bit of a story to others here
Its a means of getting to know each other better
Yes i agree there needs to be rules and yes we need to abide by the rules
But
There comes a time when rules really do need to be looked at
I agree with other posters......this is a form of censorship
what harm is there in showing a little about your life, a pic of your pet , a pic of your favorite sport etc
Admin has said we can have these pics.....yet mine all disappeared......if i spend the time and effort to replace them....actually i cant cos ive changed my hard drive....so much for that
but for arguement sake
if i find other pics.....can i just ask one thing of admin
instead of just removing them......how about asking us first to remove them so i can save them somewhere on my new hard drive......ask and ye shall receive

Posted: 4/9/2007 8:15:11 AM | Not only have I seen scenery in perfect pixelation, but please think about the pictures you submit - some are so badly pixilated that they look like a kiddies drawing and you have really NO IDEA what that person looks like. Same goes for guys in hoody's - forget guys - you will be deleted! What is with the need to show off with fingers or your body covered in tattoos so we don't actually see the PERSON?
THINK!!!!!
I am sick of going through images that are not what is asked for. Don't expect a date if you can't be bothered to put up a proper decent and well taken shot of JUST yourself - not a gang, not a 101 dalmations, not in a pub etc..... you - passport photo but with a smile

It's interesting to see what pix's people use and you can see into them a little more by these. If this site is for getting to know each other then this should be part of it.
If you want your pets in a pix that means your into animals, etc. just part of who you are and again is that not part of all this?
I have art work that was made especially for me and I like showing it off. There is nothing wrong with it, it has my name that I use on it. Then at times I like to put up hoilday greeting pix's, again what's wrong with that?
There are times that someone has a pix that is not of them and with their profile it makes them interesting, and could be someone that you enjoy talking with so who cares what they look like. Also some don't have pix's but still want to belong so are we saying no to them?
What about the ones that have all the pix's but that's not even them in it? | |

I don't agree that body shots, ab shots, tit shots and so forth should be on display ANYWHERE in your profile if you are looking for dating/friends/hanging out.....and so forth. I personally don't want to see someone's breasts hanging out of their shirt, or their sexy abs for everyone to see - confident yes. Impressive..no. Same goes for those guys who think that women want to date their Harley or crotch rocket or truck or dog......just put up a pic of YOU. Isn't it YOU that is looking.
And one more thing - pics of your material possessions are just a guys way of bragging that he's into himself and nobody else.
Maybe women should start putting up pics of their shoes, their clothes, closets, stuffed animals they had as kids.......
