| Older women seeking younger men
Posted: 3/11/2009 3:29:18 PM | I've actually had several very successful relationships with older women. Some of which lasting a few years and with women 20+ years older then me. We never found the age difference to be an issue really. Most conversations we had and things of interest are things I've talked about with people of all ages...so the notion that some people think of not being able to have things in common isn't always true. Though they did say I seemed more mature then most guys my age so maybe it was more a luck of the draw sort of thing.
And honestly, both women that I had very successful long lasting relationships with stated that sex was a major factor. Not neccessarily due to any thrill of the old/young scenerio, but more so the sex drive being more equally paced. And not to say sex is everything but it is an issue that is likely going to have to be faced at some point in any relationship.
The reasons these relationships eventually ended had nothing to do with age or future outlooks (or lack there of that some seem to think), but the same issues lots of couples of closer ages experience all the time. | |

That said, I'm willing to go say, five or six years younger, but much more than that seems a bit much. Just a personal preference. I'm also not averse to older men, but not lots older. | |

Posted: 4/9/2009 6:07:24 PM | I can relate to your thoughts on older women. How ever I would suggest keeping it real. Although I see many attractive women well into their 50s and 60s. What are your thoughts and intentions for the long term? I am 36. For me this means that if a woman is just looking to date or have some one to hang out with. Age has no boundries. If we are both thinking of long term potential. Then the age gap needs to be more realistic. Every one's bodys will begin to shut down eventualy. So is it far to either one of you to have one person ready for assisted living while the other is ready to get out and explore the world and travil? I have to set a guildline for my self of the top age group will be some where betwen 8 to 10 years older and the same as thinking of some one younger than myself as well. Again, this is for people who are looking for long term. While single if an older woman would like to have some one twenty years younger to hang out with and enjoy doing things with. Then I am all game as long as we are both under the understanding that it will not turn into long term.

Posted: 5/25/2009 8:50:51 PM | I can tell you...I am an older woman who fully enjoys dating younger men. I VERY RARELY date guys my own age. Reason why? Older men tend to have that home "nesting" thing going on...or at least the ones that I have met...They want to settle down, get married and make that dating thing a FINAL thing with marriage that happens in 3 months.
Now I have found that I tend to connect well with younger guys because they are about as outgoing as I am, they know how to have fun and they live life to the fullest. The other thing I love is the fact that I am the type of older woman who trusts the younger guy she is dating...(unless he has given me reason not to). It is very common for me to say..."Hey, you want to go hang out with the guys tonight and drink beer and watch the game...well go, have fun and I will see you later." I don't get jealous, I let them live their fun life too. All in all, I know he is coming home to me in the end.
So young guys...Older women are out there and looking for you...with both our eyes wide open!
