| Ever feel like your going to be alone forever?

Everyone who is single has tried, and failed. That doesn't mean that we give up.
It just means that we have to find entertaining ways to fill our time, so we aren't lonely, doing the things we love. If you do what you love, the time alone doesn't seem as lonely. How does that saying go?..."if you can't enjoy your own company, how is anyone else going to?"
Yes, I do get lonely on occasions but that is a stimuli for me. I have had maybe 3 or so great loves in my life and they all happen cuz we had similar goals, interest and beliefs for starters.And if you think that just waiting in your easy chair for it to bite you in the butt that not going to happen either! And if you're still caring that past baggage like it is a code of honor that might have something to do with it too.
And love can happen too when you least expect it but only if your willing to share honestly,and not just lip talk. To be happy you first have to be happy first with yourself! omg Joe Blow can and never be your life line always, he can be the butter but you still need to be the bread.
For fear of giving is fear of receiving and if you think you gave enough,think again.
And what would all the used car salespersons be if they only sold one car? Humm
I also find doing volunteer work a great pleasure and the loved is return many times over.
Being involved with different hobbies and clubs is another source of entertainment and pleasure and great place for meeting new people. Good luck. | |

Ive had some girls on here tell me that i have more going for me than most guys they have met so i dont know if that is why or not. I have my own apartment and i have a job and i have phone internet and cable , and i have a six hundred dollar mountain bike that i ride quite a bit cause i am diabetic so i have to keep my sygar levels under control. My family doctor told me that i shouldnt be driving for a while until my sugars are under control and then i have to go for a medical as well. Maybe thats what turns the girls off but i have my health anyway and im in fantastic shape. I have a life and i have money to spend as well so i wouldnt let something like this get you down . My uncle is diabetic and he i think im not sure but from driving around in a car all the time and not exercising has lost some of his sight and he is fighting like hell to keep it. But yeah youll find someone and i know i might find someone eventually but im not in a rush to meet someone right away. | |

because single friends our age are diamonds, you dont have to talk about stuff you know how each other is feeling .
I am so grateful for my single female friends, because they understand and are fun to hang out with. I might be single forever, but I don't feel like I'm alone. | |

I joined this site in hopes of meeting my mister right and nothing............................. Maybe I just don't know the rule of internet dating. If anyone can give me some tips I would really appreciate them.

Unfortunately he passed away about a year and a half ago from kidney cancer and I find myself in your boat only older.... He's really feeling sorry for himself having brought me everything he can think of to cheer me up... except a lady!! Sure, he has better pulling power than me, with a cute face, big green eyes, soft fur and can sing beautifully for his supper... Guess, I'm the oppsite and now know where I'm going wrong
Being single isn't a problem... until you have had a bad day and all you need is a cuddle, may be a kiss and a caring ear (arms and body to match too). Returning home and saying "Hi honey, I'm home" echoes around a cavernous house; at least the echo makes me feel at home, not!!
Am I the only one who puts the TV or the radio on just for background noise so as not to feel alone? Living in the countryside doesn't help... still, the cat enjoys it and, on a hot sunny day, I do - lying in my hammock.
Dreams may be full of experiences of the couple kind... but, to be honest ... how many of us when we've been in a couple wished we were single and how many when we're single wish we were in a couple?
I'm not happy being me, let alone single... but, I will carry on regardless and see what joy life brings.... Why? Because life can be fun - single or not!!  | |

I just downloaded all of them. I added them to the zillions I already have. I often have one or two laptops sitting on my desk next to this big computer. I have them set to change messages every 60 seconds. I also made around 6,000 pictures that are reminders of all the things I heard on all of those personal development books/e-books/quotes and so on.
A few of them really got too me just now. Maybe because it is raining here in Kansas City today.

I understand how you feel I too feel alone alot to. I wish I could find someone who enjoys being with me as I do them ( and not sexually) not that I don't enjoy sex but there is so much more to a relationship . I like to adventure and explore new things . A drive on the weekend finding new places to see , a quiet walk in a park or just cuddling watching baseball, a movie, or even the depressing news. Most of the guys I have had contact with on here seem to be looking for just one night stands or sexual only relationships . I have been wondering if I am a fruit loop of life because I respect myself more aand would respect the person I am with to hopefully want to have more in the relationship besides sex....... the more you get to know someone the more you see if there is an attraction and if there is will then there is going to be good sex too..... | |

Hell...I know we are all on here with our ultimate goal being to find that "special someone", but to me that would just be a plus. Sure it sucks at times being single, but it also has its perks.
Besides...gone are the days that being married and having 2.5 kids was the norm. Learning to love yourself and being happy with yourself first and foremost is the best feeling in the world. This may sound "old school", but it is very good wisom..."Until your have learned to love yourself, you will never truly be able to love someone else".
I want to "want" that special someone in my life...not "need" them in order to complete me. | |

The last guy I dated for 6 wks that I met off the internet ended up getting drunk one night and hitting me on an arm that I had surgery on!! He seemed so genuine and caring when I met him. He even asked me to go to church with him! That was 2 yrs ago, and I have been almost scared to date since, but, courage has brought me to wade thru the dating cesspool once again to hopefully find my best friend/lover/partner. I would rather be alone, happy, not in danger than to be with Mr. Wrong. I must say; I am enjoying my life and friends just as much as the bachelor guys do. I am the envy of my married friends and those in monogamous relationships. You are not "waiting"; you are a beautiful flower that grows taller with the passing of time. | |

All my friends are at the points in their lives where they are getting engaged, married and having children.
I too am looking for Mr. Right but it's proving to be a long and difficult search. Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with me but then I think about it and I say that there's nothing wrong with me at all. I just haven't found the right guy yet.

I'm alot older than you, so that makes me alot wiser, lol. anyway... i sit home alone sat nights and LOVE it.... see..after meeting many jerks over the years...I've learned to be happy ALONE, i entertain myself, watch a good movie..talk to friends, read books, bake cookies, cook, whatever, etc.. I'm thin and actually can have mostly any guy I want, but guess what...that has nothing to do with anything...I don't seem to want any of them..
see, the truth is....in today's world, it's hard to find a DECENT guy...I don't know where they're all at...so I just don't give a (blank)...we don't NEED a man...yes we want and desire and I can have plenty...I have the opposite problem...and that is...they all want sleep with me...and guess what honey, that sucks....so...I just wait till i find someone worthy....ha...but....the problem is...my mom made me a STRONG, and independent woman...and I LOVE IT, it feels powerful to be in this position...to want a man, but not NEED a man... some woman think they need to have someone in their life , then when they have him, they're still miserable and they guy leaves them anyway...so...words to you...Learn to be happy with yourself, channel your energies into other things (not having a man or a partner at this time) find things you like to do..check out meetup groups, find your interests then join a group, get involved..work, make money(and someone will be attracted to you therefore) ...sometimes I like shopping more than dating...LOL
truly... I've had many long term relationships...most of them were ***holes.....I pick them terribly... I heard this the other day and love it..."I already have one ***hole, I do not need another"...hope you're laughing... laughter is the best medicine..
LC(one smart lady)... I found out, after becoming a strong woman, I don't need a jerk in my life...If you're happy alone, then you'll be happy with another...so first you gotta learn to be happy alone... Dr. Laura | |
