| Ever feel like your going to be alone forever?

I don't know how old you are, but I'm 62, grad school, worked hard for 50 years, not bad looking, work out, decent. for reasons I will never completely understand, the women I meet on this site between 50 and 60 are not looking for someone like me. Don't quite know what to make of it. You don't say how old you are. I'm on here because I don't like to drink much and don't know where to go to meet people around the age of women I seek besides bars. If you are unde 40, get out of the house. If you are fat, you know what you need to do. Do it. These sites don't work for me, and they probably won't work for you, either, unless you take the bull by the horns and make the changes in your life necessary for you to achieve your goals. I'm rooting for you.

I don't think she was addressing you at all. Sure you may be too old for her, but I am sure there are many women in their 50s who don't think you're old at all. It's all a matter of perspective. Relax. | |

Posted: 6/21/2009 7:13:17 AM | I understand exactly what you mean and what you feel. It doesn't have anything to do with self esteem, etc...gosh, we all have our issues. But it can become lonely! I have been single for quite some time now and I know having somebody isn't the be all and end all, on the contrary I love being independent. But it would be nice to find somebody, find my mr perfect. Hopefully you'll meet somebody soon x | |

Maybe it's because I refuse to settle for the same girls over and over again. The blonde one's that have no ambition or nothing exciting to talk about except nails and hair products. I've been looking for someone REALLY special for a little over a year now and still nothing. Ya sure sometimes I do get down on myself wondering if I'll ever find anyone again but hey that's part of single life right? lol | |

Posted: 7/17/2009 4:55:33 AM | | .....so ..yeah ..sometimes...i feel that way.....but in the long run...no...right now...yes..i am alone but ....i just haven't met the right person yet....i have met serveral mr. wrongs, and as lonely as i can get sometimes...i would much rather be alone than with any of them, so here i am, just going on dates, and moving forward with my life, i am not going to settle just so i can say i am in a relationship, i know i am much better than that, i value my mental health more than to be that person, its also important to have a single friend in your life, that way you have someone to **** with, also i have learned that a lot of my married or attached friends, often get envious, of my grand dating adventures, they make for some really good stories, btw.....anyway chin up, and look forward to the future as best you can, thats what i do. | |
