First your headline could use a little help, you need to figure out something catchy or informative, something that will make the right person look onward.
Pictures, I would keep a couple of the just you pictures, and replace the extra ones with you doing something or something you like, for example the dog and the skiing pic, need more like that and one of your face and one of your whole body.
Interests are good, just aboout the right amount there but the content is a little lacking, you've got three that say the same thing, drinkin, beer,clubbin, etc.
Personally I would worry about the use of the english langauge, you can sure tell where the you stops and the cut and paste quote starts. I can't say from experience if your language will hurt your chances, so I won't really comment on it.
I wouldn't have the must live in Canada thing, I would put that in the write up, it's what you want but maybe somebody somewhere in the world wants to talk to you and can't. | |

Posted: 9/29/2005 3:42:01 PM | 4wheelin chick: Your pictures are good, you might try to get a few more topics for them, Like maybe a picture 4 wheeling to replace one of the riding horse pictures, probably only need one of each activity unless it shows something really different like a face close up vs a full body shot.
Concerning your interests, you probably could not have 4 wheeling two to three times and I'm sure you have other things that you like to expand that categorie, give us more to latch on too, more to connect with. What do you like to do in the outdoors, camp, canoe, hike, etc?
About me, capitalize a couple I's. I'm sure there most be a lot more that you could tell us about yourself. What do you hate, tell us some more stuff you love, what kinds of music, movies, etc.
First date is good. Overall not bad, just give us some more about you, there more we know the better chance somebody will really connect. | |

I would say read some of the other reviews here and look at the other profiles, look at the ones that we say are good, read about and look at the others and realize that they may have improved ( hopefully) after getting reviewed. I would add a full body picture and pictures of stuff you like or better yet you doing things you like. Tell us all about you, what you like, hate, want, need, etc. Men need to find things that they will connect with to get them off their duff and email you. They need to think you are the one, they often need more then a pretty face. Your headline is good. | |

Posted: 9/29/2005 7:33:58 PM | Hey all, I just found a real neat idea for a profile if you don't have any idea how to get started, the ABC approach. A list for each letter of the alphabet, find things that start with A that apply to you, then B, C, etc.

I did not have a photo on my profile for a while, when I responded to some of the ladies ads I got told by many well over half....NO PHOTO NO CHAT... Then when I put my photo up and I sent mail to the ladies many show in my send box as UNREAD DELETED. Then there is the ones that do get read and my first response to a ad goes this way almost 99.9% of the time. " Hi, I saw your profile and liked what it had to say. I would be interested in finding out more. Would you like to chat some ??? " This is my reply to there ads in like I said 99.9% of the time. What do I get in return....???? I get a very rude reply about 40% of the time and when I write back to why are you so rude when I just said HI wanted to chat, I find a very good number have put me on there BLOCK USER list. What is this crap all about. NEVER...NEVER IN MY LIFE....HAVE I EVER MET SO MANY SELF CENTERED FEMALES IN ONE PLACE ALL AT THE SAME TIME. They expect and demand to be treated with respect, yet they will be the first to treat you like something they stepped in while walking through a dog park... This kind makes me wana put on my steel toe work boots and bend some of them over and let her have it as hard as I can give it. I have NEVER in my life been met with such out right rudeness....NEVER..!!!
OK....I am done.....After Burners....OFF...

I'll push this one to the front of the line because it's interesting and different, (I like variety as much as the next person, I'll get to the others I haven't forgot, just been busy with life lately) and welcome anybody else to add their comments, it's off topic but I have stuff to say about this and I'm sure others do too. (Concerning my busy with life, I'm doing a 1031 tax like kind exchange, sold an apartment house and need to buy some other real estate, $120K, something I can rent out for two years, live in for two years ( or at least claim too) and then sell for no loss, Any ideas, please contact me, I need to identify the place in the next month, this process will save me $30K in taxes. Also I want to buy a shack in SE Nebraska, $5K, basically an address, I need to register some cars there, Kansas auto registration and taxation s...ks, Well back to the problem at hand.
First I'll review your profile since that's what this is all about even if you didn't ask for it, I think I can help at least with that part, the rest is pretty much hopeless, it's human nature, and I can't change that, it's much easier to alter the behavior of the animals in your pictures, they at least somewhat respond the laws of nature, supply and demand and survival of the fittest.
Concerning your profile, the purpose of a profile is to inform, everything you type could help to tell somebody who you are. What you've got is not bad but there needs to be a lot more. You need to tell people more about what you like to do, that's pretty non existent in your profile, we get the idea that maybe you like to take pictures of deer and I get the idea you might know what a diode is but I'm sure there aren't many others that will catch that and I'm not even sure it was meant might just be a coincidence you picked that letter and number combination. You need to give the women some real concrete stuff to connect with, like boating, or gambling, or photography, or hunting. Those are the things that make them say I like that maybe I'd like to do that with this guy, without that, you are just a face on a body, in this case one that is not into group sex and one that doesn't want to waste time in the hunt, I'm all for that, but it's probably not going to happen.
I found two grammatical errors in your text, "open minded person to, I love bring fire" should be "open minded person too, I love to bring fire" both concern to or too. Not a big deal, I'm sure that's not the cause of the problem described.
Now on to the problem: I have no solution but I also have seen similar traits, I can't tell you how many years I've been at this, I've met quite a few very nice women by using the Internet, but I've had email conversation with thousands probably and read and responded to probably in the 10 thousands of profiles. If I had a penny for every "read, deleted" letter I've sent I could probably buy another junk car :-) I've also had my share of rude replies to very politely written letters, don't take it personally, there are a lot of very messed up people in this world, just chalk it up to "Glad I didn't waste any time on her and move on." Like the old country and western song goes "life turned her that way." You are not the only one that gets this response, it's very easy for people ( men and women) to not be polite in this impersonal media of email, the real, true nature of the beast takes over, they have no worry about repercussion of their actions for they feel they will never pay for their injustice. People are basically wild animals, they have been domesticated slightly because of the need to function in a society that demands cooperation from others. Religion helps modify some peoples actions in life, (I'm going to pay for that comment) but most when it comes to online behavior fall back to the wild nature of the beast within. There are very few truly good people in the world, that treat all people the way they should be treated in all situations because that's what they feel they should do (golden rule stuff). I almost put lifeforms in place of people in the last sentence, but then thought about fish, what gives us the right to treat fish as food and kill it and eat it, why should we treat a trout any differently then a bird dog. We would never think a fish hook in the lip of a bird dog is OK, why is it with a trout. Just becasue we have a bigger brain does that give us the right to kill and eat a fish? What about that peperoni on the pizza you had last night, where did it come from? How did this conversation get to pizza, it's lunchtime I'm hungry. Just some stuff to think about. Anybody else have an oppinion? Hope this helps, take it with a grain of salt and move on to the next one, I've been searching for many years, sometimes wonder if it's in vain, it's not the internet that gets in my way, it's Ex's, and mother-in-laws, and gold digging "life turned her that way" beasts within. Your write up line about "I joined a few days ago to find a special person," to me doesn't read well, it's outdated as soon as it's there I'm sure you may have been here more then a few days by now, I would change that to something that doesn't mention a time frame, get rid of the couple days ago.
Lots of spelling and typing mistakes in this sentence "dont play games or belive in playing games, and prefer to be with people who believe the same aswell, and see from
there ." don't, believe, as well" "and see from" is not good maybe "go from" might be better.
Overall I don't see major problems, I'm sure there is lots more that you could tell us about things you like, hate, want, etc. The more you have the more chance a woman will find something to connect with. | |

Not bad the only things I saw were gramatical, capitalized words in the middle of a sentence and mispelled gurl. I can't really say those things are going to affect you one way or the other, they may or they may not, they probably could hurt and I really don't think they could help, but they might with certain people.
Your pictures are good. I would add som more words to the interest, words that people might search for hiking, 4x4, etc | |

Yes one way to get to me...BUT!!! Most of all what is a diode...what does it do to AC...?
It straightens it out in a manor of speaking...hence...I am straight...get it. Hell I could not think of anything else at the time and for some reason the 1N4000 class of diodes just popped into my mind...and thought how very fitting in this bent world. At least I am not a Zener type letting it come in the back door.....LOL... Now maybe I should get on my Megacycle and go for a ride....but if you go to fast on a wet road it could be a Kilocycle if your not very careful..... | |

Made lots of money working for the goverment research labs designing amp circuits for other scientists projects. The diode reference in your profile, might need some explaining, I'm sure only 1% would have any idea, and most of them would be guys. I like your humor lets see more of that in the profile. You need to get that across to the women that read the profile. I agree the view from here is kind of poor but we don't see a good cross section of the population, just the lonely ones, but there is hope, there are some resonable people here, we are here aren't we. There are diamonds in the rough, or is that sunlight off the dew drops that I'm seeing, at least we are out on the course in the early morning, that once in a lifetime fantastic chip shot or hole in one will come with the next swing of the club. Got to have hope or all is lost.
I would have at least one picture of yourself in your profile, I think that is important. Shrek for an opening one is good, no problem with that. | |
