I went today & it was a big waste of time; nothing but arts & crafts exhibits & very little live music, if any. If we want to go to a place in Siesta Village (i.e. Daiquiri Deck, Gilligan's, SKOB), do it when there is no festival on. Don't do it this weekend because Ocean Blvd is closed off for a few blocks. | |

Posted: 4/29/2007 6:46:07 AM | O'Learys is nice. Seems everyone wants mid week and thats not easy for some. I would love to be able to attend a group gathering somewhere local. A set place weekly would be ideal as diff folks could make it diff weeks, but still know where to meet up. It seems a group goes to the Cay Club on Sundays quite often also.
Will keep checking to see if anything comes of this. | |

Therefore, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and all day and night Saturday are out, for me. Maybe a place can be found where those of us who don't know anyone already can have something to do, i.e. pool, darts or karaoke. I have to sort of laugh at myself for attending anything at a bar though, considering my lifestyle...do any ladies who DON'T drink or smoke ever attend these things that will even consider dating a single dad? | |

When somebody finally decides to organize a get-together properly by giving some advanced notice, then call me; otherwise I won't waste my time reading comments from a teaser who is not serious about having a get-together in Sarasota.
Why does Sarasota have all the a$$holes? The parties here are either all old people or they are run by incompetent organizers. | |

I looked at the other posts on the thread, and most people seem to be agreeable to the Thursday date. That didn't work for me, but I don't see a need to be hateful about it. However, I will give you credit for being right about the ages in attendance. The one party I attended at the Cay Club was basically attended by the geriatric community (nothing against you older folks at all...I promise). I actually got asked to dance by a decent lady who was in her late fifties. That was all the attention I got...LOL! | |

Starts about 7:30/8:00 PM! If you are hungry they have some great fun food and serve wine and beer. When you come in just say POF and they will direct you to the crowd of happy people! See ya there! The only thing you need to bring that night is a smile!
So if you want to come out and meet soem new people, this is the place that it will happen.
