I don't know any man who would want to hook up with her though. I mean who wants a threesome with The Lizard King.

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/19/2007 10:59:11 PM | hi i just read thru all the pages of this forum.. and i think tats on both men and women are sexy.. yes of course depending where and what they are... i have 3done.. myself.. my first tat was for my 20th bday and the tatooist that did me was very picky on what he would do and where he would do it on me ... he told me i would regret certain things later in life... so he refused to do some things i thought i wanted then.. i now understand why he stopped me..lol he drew me a unique unicorn on my front hip so noone would have the same one... which since then having my kids have done damage to it.. but thats ok.. it was a subject of conversation with my doc as it deformed as my pregnancy progresses...lol
then several yrs. later i got one on my ankle area.. then the big one on my upper back.. it also was drawn for me.. it represents something special to me just like all you have talked about.. i've always said if iwas a man i would be covered in tats because their so addicting..lol their beautiful way of expressing yourself in art...

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 12:39:46 AM | Marilyn46 I'm sorry to bust your parade, But I bet your grand children would like their names imprinted in Your heart, eyes and lips all the time, instead of your body. I think that reason is just a poor excuse for a new tatoo. I didn't say that you dont love them but using that as an excuse implies that you love them when you see them but love them even more when they're gone. A tatoo is a poor compensation for the absece of real love. By the way I think tatoos are the results of insecurty, vanity, psychological issues or unacceptance of one's own body design. The human body is a piece of art in itself it does not need your so called improvements.(desfiguration)
Hey people! Calm down! I didn'tmean To offend anyone, I Just voiced my opinion. The Voice Of Reason In A Self Absorbed World.

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 1:53:54 AM | Ladies and Gentleman, it would be interesting to see and hear what you all have to say about your tattoos, say 40 or 50 years from now. Most people who I knew, during my professional carreer, who had tattoos regretted ever getting them. Some I knew even spend thousands of dollars having them removed. You won't find a lot of professional people in the business world with tatoos. I hope anyone who is planning on a successful business career and hopefully moving up into the ranks of senior management, don't have any tattoos that show. A tattoo is an instant turn off in the professional world, I can assure you of that. As a side note, having spend some years in Asia, it is a tradition there that all hardened criminals be tatooed from head to foot. I have seen some of these characters and I can assure you they look like someone from outter space !
I feel very fortunate in the fact that I have four years of Military service under my belt and I was able to escape without a tatoo anywhere on my body. ......Fortunately for me, by the time it was my turn at the table, I had sufficiently sobered up to decline the grand opportunity of having myself marked for life. So I'm glad all you young people enjoy your tattoos. But I think it's going to be a hoot when you turn 75 or 80 and look at those tattoos and wonder why in the hell you ever allowed someone to perform that disfigument to your body. ..........

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 8:17:34 AM | Haplucky4 - you come from the older generation i was speaking of earlier - not quite as accepting of tattoos than the new gens, still carrying on the stigma attached to tattoos...
it may be that during your day in the professional world - tattoos were a turn off... but here's a newsflash... i'm a business major (my emphasis is in marketing)... i've studied consumer behavior and attitude changes - we've had a discussion in class and the professor had pointed out that tattoos, once believed to be "bad" and criminally related has experienced a shift in views... today, the stigma is pretty much gone (only remaining mostly in the older generation) and is viewed as an art form (yea - and i do believe she was about your age, Haplucky4)...
being tattooed will have no effect on my success as i move into the business world... i'm 25, almost 26, entered the professional world when i was 23 and making a pretty lucrative living at that age... it afforded me the ability to make the decision to stop working and finish my degree - i haven't had to work in over a year, i'll be graduating this may, i've been able to travel quite a bit, and all the while, afforded my tattoos now - the tattoos had no bearing on my ability to be successful... and just so you know - in the college of business where i attend - a good 50% of the students are tattooed and pierced... say hello to the future business leaders of america...
a man i recently was dating is a professional in the business world... he had full sleeves, a full back piece in the making, and several large pieces done on his legs... but - he's quite successful in his field, making about $200k annually... not bad, eh?
i've traveled to asia as well and let me say - times are changing... yes, you're right... in the past, the only people that were tattooed were criminals and gang members... however, in recent times, tattooing has been embraced and accepted - when i was in bali a couple of weeks ago, i was complimented constantly by the locals - they absolutely loved my back piece... there are tattoo shops all over the place in thailand and in indonesia - not as prominent in vietnam but again, gaining a lot of acceptance... i read an article recently about the increase in the younger generations getting tattoos in vietnam - the article addressed how the views are changing from once being associated with criminals and gangs into being fashionable and artsy...
i respect your opinion but really - is it necessary to address what we consider to be art or meaningful as disfigurement?

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 8:19:30 AM | Wreckless1 - there are many places i haven't been, as i still have a long list of places to see...
but i've been fortunate enough to have time and money this last year to take off when i can...
i'm thinking hawaii again, right after finals - it'll be a nice way to celebrate the fact that i'm finally done with my bachelor's!

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 9:08:55 AM | | Tacky. . .Tacky. . .Tacky. . .Instant turn-off for this boy. A woman is a beautiful creature. . .let it be. And for you to have the audacity of telling a woman that you can talk her into one. . .that speaks for itself. | |
|
| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 9:54:31 AM | | Well, considering I have over eight tattoos and cherish each and everyone... Isay "Think Ink." Art is an amazing interpretation, each person has their own opinion of art and it's choice canvas. I personally choose to make my body my own art. Women should be allowed to create art and expression, it is beautiful. | |

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 10:06:22 AM | Tacky. . .Tacky. . .Tacky
One persons tackiness is another's beautiful music.
Thats the beauty of self expression in whatever form it's in. We're each allowed to dance to our own music.

| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 12:29:59 PM | So I have a question? What makes a woman choose a little tat, and one who perfers to go full canvas? | |
|
| Women with Tattoo's Posted: 4/20/2007 1:16:05 PM | Depends on where it is and what of I guess? hm my 3 tats are relatively small but not real dinky lol.... the one on my ankle/calf is actually 2 tats in one (my first tat: 2 dolphins around a purrple rose )... and it is the "larger" of the 3... Wreck...gonna look at your profile pics again to see your tat..forgot how many you have.. i know the arm right? :-)
