Eagles fan here. The Eagles run defense was pretty bad last year, so I think they will look to add some defensive line and strong safety help. I think they want to trade up to get a defensive end like Carriker, but they don't have a 4th round pick and extra picks to move up in the draft. So, I doubt they get him. They will probably also look to add a cornerback, linebacker and 3rd string running back.
Eagles fan here also, I think that the run defense wasn't as bad as people think...before Kearse went down it was fine...but once left the rotation was screwed and that led to them over playing our smaller DT's.......The Eagles will take Micheal Griffin they are grooming him to take over for Brian Dawkins in 2 years.

I think me and cav are on the same page....quinn ---OVERRATED....and i know cav is doing jumping jacks they didnt get quinn
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/28/2007 1:16:59 PM | | yeah i'm sure cav is very pleased. they probably had to hose him down. well i just saw he goes to the browns. two wins a year for my steelers. | |

| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/28/2007 3:37:56 PM | Does anyone have the Browns and the Eagles mailing address, I need to put them on my Xmas card list!
Go Cowboys Go! | |

| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/28/2007 7:21:30 PM | | my team...OAKLAND.....got QB....still need new owner....AL DAVIS' time has come and gone............... | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/28/2007 7:34:24 PM | I don't understand the pick of Ginn for my Dolphins in the 1st round. He'll be a bust only good for returning kickoffs and punts. I think Cmeron can work wonders with our 1st second round pick Beck QB from BYU. With our second pick in the second round we finally got a O'LINEMAN we need more | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/29/2007 5:19:49 AM | | Geez, I forgot to put the Fish on my Xmas card list. Had they not screwed up so bad, drafting Ginn instead of Quinn, Dallas wouldn't have been able to fleece Cleveland. Jerry Jones has to be the best at managing the Draft. | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/29/2007 6:38:21 AM | I dont get it either Slafan, but time will tell.a center in the third round and I hope there's more to come. Now a rb at 71, pretty much what you and I were talking about needing.More O.L. needed now. | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/29/2007 1:13:20 PM | | MN fan here (born and raised there). Moved to OK in 86 - good draft so far for me, as they have selected Adrian Peterson and Rufus Alexander (both from OU). | |

Speed...speed....speed....something the Dolphins desperately needed. He can develop as a reciever over time but, as the Bears proved last year w/ Hester, a big play punt returner can be the difference in close games(the Bears won 2 last year I can think of where Hester busted one.)
Yes.....I was pleased Quinn was passed up by Miami. Time will tell if I'm right about him. Best pick of Miami's draft was Booker from Fla. St. in the third round. Will be good solid backup for Ronnie Brown and lessens the need to keep Ricky around if the NFL approves his request for re-instatement.

| NFL Draft Time Posted: 4/30/2007 6:29:26 AM | | the ginn pick is one of those guys that is almost imposible to pass on. it may not be the practical pick, but his return abilities are just to good . the steelers are taking a beating on their selections from the fans and media. especially the punter they got in the 4th, sepulveda from baylor. i personally like the pick. special teams is a legitimate part of the game. listen to me...... i'm talking about 4th round draft picks. i gotta go to work. | |

Anthony Spencer looks like a good choice for da' boys!

49'ers had a great draft

| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/13/2007 6:15:46 AM | | they ought to have one every year. | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/13/2007 6:25:24 AM | | Now that we have had some time to think about the draft, I still can't believe the Dolphins passed on Quinn. Ginn is a good pick as a returner and receiver, but Miami has no one that can throw him the ball! Very impressed with the rebuilding of the Niners though and the Pats have had a great off season so life will be very interesting in the NFL. | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/13/2007 6:28:52 AM | | quite pleased that quinn will be going to the "mistake on the lake". they deserve him. and the pats desperation is a beautiful thing. | |

| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/13/2007 7:39:01 PM | | everyone seems to think that Quinn is going to be a flop, and who know, maybe he will, but it is worth a shot, because the quarterbacks in next years draft are really quite pathetic, so the thinking was to give up next year's number one pick and have Quinn in the system for a year instead of drafting a quarterback in next year's draft. So, in essence, the Browns are a year ahead. The Browns will not win the division or even make the playoffs this year, but they did make a drastic improvement in the draft getting three cornerstone pieces in the first three rounds with Thomas, Quinn, and Wright. | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/16/2007 8:58:55 AM | | the worse the Browns do that better the chances of Dallas getting a high enough pick to draft Darren Mcfadden next year so i personally hope the suck big time | |
|

They will when they get the deal for Trent Green done. no, he's not a permanant solution at his age but he has been a Pro Bowl QB in very recent history and Cam Cameron knows him as well as anyone since his Chargers played Green's Chiefs twice a year. Add Green to an improved O-line, Ronnie Brown, and Chris Chambers and Marty Booker at WR and you have some weapons.....especially if Ginn can learn to run some routes along with his return skills. We saw what a difference a return game can make last year with the Bears.......there are for sure 3 games Chicago would have lost without Hester running a kick back. Miami also added Lorenzo Booker from FSU so losing Ricky Williams again doesn't matter. Miami's D was 4th in the league last year so they are fine there....a little old but that didn't seem to matter to Taylor(Defnesive player of the year) and Thomas(165 tackles...10 more than anyone else) last year.
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/17/2007 5:19:56 PM | | Sorry Cav, Green will not be the short term answer in Miami. That is one Franchise that I do not get. They keep fighting for garbage QBs or over the hill QBs. Ricky Williams has sure had a disappointing career and the Fish won't get to use him this year and he is likely done for good. I also can't figure out why no one wants to play for the Bears? | |

We'll see won't we? Miami and Dallas play in week two in Miami. And Miami did draft a yound QB...a very polished 26 yr old from BYU(which has produced a few good QB's over the years). You say they fight over garbage QB's.......Culpeper was near MVP in 04-no telling what might've happened had he rehabbed properly. The Cowboys haven't exactly set the world on fire with QB"S either, sport. Before you guys LUCKED into Romo....let's see the was 76 yr old Drew Bledsoe....Chad Hutchinson.....Quincy Carter....Drew Henson....Anthony Wright....need I go on? Take care of that glass house before you start gathering rocks, Crane.
"I also can't figure out why no one wants to play for the Bears?"
Maybe everybody figured out they did it w/ smoke and mirrors last year and aren't that good. These guys wanted to get out of Dodge before the 2007 season went in the tank and hurt their chances for a big deal somewhere else later on. Bears will be no better than 9-7 next year...you heard it here first.
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/18/2007 2:13:48 PM | | Hey Cav, Bledsoe did a decent job in his first year with the 'Boys, but I will agree they have had a tough time as well ever since Aikman left. As for Week 2, the Cowboys will KILL the Fish. The Pass rush will overwhelm the Dolphins and the game will be a blowout. Miami had a great finish to last season and now that Dallas got rid of the Parcells Defense, watch out! | |
|
| NFL Draft Time Posted: 5/21/2007 6:10:12 AM | "the Cowboys will KILL the Fish"
Remember you said that when Jason Taylor sacks pretty boy Romo 3 or 4 times and Ronnie Brown runs roughshod over that matador-like Cowboy defense. It'll be just like the last time they played...you remember....T-giving 2003. That Cowboys D made Jay Fiedler look like Marino.
And now you think this team will better w/out Parcells? W/ Wade Phillips soft, fat ass coaching Dallas will lose all toughness and roll over as soon as things start to go bad.
