Posted: 4/16/2007 7:56:14 AM | Yeah, I think its a dumb feature also. Gee, lets look at see who looked at our profile and DIDN'T like what they saw and read..shall we? So we can do what? write them and ask them what they didn't like? Or how about the person who actually WRITES one of them and says, "I saw you looked at my profile and wanted to say HI." Why? they obviously didn't like you otherwise they would have responded. Dumb, just dumb. At least it lets me know who NOT to click on.

if someone views your profile, the only thing it means is: the person looked at your profile
This has been said a couple times, so for those who are trying to read more into this - post this on your monitor.
Sure, I looked at who viewed me, and check out their profiles, but that DOES NOT mean I have any interest in whatsoever. I have had people email after I have looked at their profile, and most I have had to say not interested. Fortunately, I have not have had any nasty emails back. But I can see it happening ...
You look at someone's profile, and maybe only for 2 seconds because you immediately know you have no interest. The person sees you looked at their profile, and emails you. You say "not interested". They then reply "but you looked at my profile, so you must be interested". (of course, this is the nice version of a possible reply)
I can guarantee that everyone on here has looked at someone's profile that they are not interested in. Do you really want every person whose profile you looked at to email you?
This is just another case where people are reading way too much into things. | |

It's interesting that women can't see which other women viewed them
I have had about three women show up in my viewed me section... I don't know why those are the only ones because there are women who I know have looked at my profile who haven't shown up... I have no clue what determines that.. maybe it has to do with what they are looking for.. ? That has always kind of baffled me... | |

Posted: 5/1/2007 4:22:56 PM | Maybe all it means that your tiny picture attracted there attention, I've looked at guys thinking they were woman. One in particular was a guy sitting on a mountain top much like my picture but he had long hair and I though maybe "she" was my perfect match. He was not, LOL, but I did email him just to let him know what happened. Told him I was in "Love" till I found it he was not a she. I noticed he changed his primary pic.
I like this feature, and have "met" a few using this, I just send a letter saying I noted you looked at me and I looked back and liked what I saw, and was wonderring what she thought. I also use this when you can't email somebody, maybe because they have the 75 mile thing, at least they know I looked, many look back.
The 75 mile thing (and other messsage limitations) in my oppinion is the biggest mistake people make on here. Sure we would like to find somebody close but most of use would much rather find somebody and if they were perfect and 200 miles we would figure out what to do about the distance. Also somebody the same sex might have a sister that would be just perfect for you, but can't contact you to tell you. Or might make a best friend, most all of us would welcome a new perfect best friend.
So don't worry if they looked at you and didn't email, if your interested in them, email them and tell them, if you don't hear back they are not interested and probably not worth loosing any sleep over if they are the type to not respond to an email. At least if you sent your email you should be able to sleep and not worry about it. | |

Yeah, they look at your profile, read what you wrote about yourself, and decide they are not for you. I read all profiles I pull up... many dont interest me after I read them... no problem...plenty of fish out there...

I can't understand why either of these features cause this much concern for people who post about it. It's been done a 100 times but yet keeps cropping up like it's a new discovery!! LOL
Ah how this bring back reminiscences of my childhood. Those long car rides with the family up to Cape Cod for the summer.
Sister: "Mom tell Thorn to stop looking at me"
Me: "I'm not looking at her"
Mother: "Thorn stop looking at your sister"
Me: "I'm not looking at her Mom, I am reading my Spiderman Comic Book"
Sister: "Mom tell Thorn to stop looking at me".
Dad: "In about two seconds I am gonna turn this car around!"
Mom: "Honey pull into the next clean Gas Station you see"
Sister: "Dad are we there yet?"
Me: "Mom tell Sis to stop looking at me!"
So do we have to turn this car around, or can everybody stop getting so ridiculously concerned over who looked at them? Sometimes people routinely veiw a profile repeatedly because they can't contact the owner due to message restrictions. Least that is what I was told. So if they are looking and you like that they are looking, try writing them. You never know.
