| Big Brother Posted: 5/11/2007 2:59:44 AM | Full of fake people in a fake world with fake tits.
i expect that you know all these people personally to know that they are fake?
this is what gets me about some people on this forum. fark if you dont like something shut the fark up about it. worse than whinging old women!!
how do you know they are being fake? no one but themselves and i would say their closest friends and family would know if they were being fake or not.
Oh please spare me this garabage blow up the t.v read a book talk to the miss or mister if u have one anything but watch BB (bloody bozoes)
you go around insulting people because they watch a television show? roflmao!! how mature of you. hell i dont like afl but you dont see me screaming that people are bozoes. my tact is to not add to the thread.
id hate to think what your like in the real world out there. do you whinge this much about all tv shows you dont like?
but then again i bet your secretly watch bb and perv on all those fake titties roflmao!!
talking about fakeness...........
just a quick question... why would you waste your energy posting about something you hate so much?

hand pick the 5 finalists, meaning that anyone who was overweight, average looking, or too old had completely wasted their time. I felt sorry for them, you could tell they knew there was no chance of getting picked once the selection process was announced. ......Does anyone else think the competition was fixed?
I only caught the end of the show when the finalists were doing their dig for the key, but I could clearly see the disparity between the finalists on stage and the rest of the crowd the camera was panning over. So yeah I'm inclined to agree with you having read your comments there.
all it showed was that the BB producers have a thing for blonde big breasted girls
....in fairness, I'd be very surprised if they haven't based their decisions on market research of their main audience.

Well my little uneducated fool. Do you real think that people in shows like this are not hand picked to create the most interest to the brain dead mass like yourself. As for being fake well lets think about they going to get mass coverage, so if they are doing that you won't to be bigger and noisier than the others in the house so your remembered. So yes they are being fake. And tell me how many of these so called house mates of the years have really gone on and done anything worth while
As for voicing something well that what a forum is for idiot, where you like it or not you get have a say.
Or are you so simple minded that you can only see your side of the story, which is more likely the case, typical brain dead dodo that can only believe what they see on TV

hand picked... yes its called an audition process
As for being fake well lets think about they going to get mass coverage, so if they are doing that you won't to be bigger and noisier than the others in the house so your remembered. So yes they are being fake.
fake to whom? are they not allowed to be outgoing or step outside the norm of what people would see? do we as humans not do this all the time anyways? do we as human allow ourselves to adapt to the environment we find ourselves in?
And tell me how many of these so called house mates of the years have really gone on and done anything worth while
who cares? this is entertainment after all.. obviously not for you but i can see your definately coming out as a closet bb fan roflmao!!
As for voicing something well that what a forum is for idiot, where you like it or not you get have a say.
now that i agree with.. see im not an idiot after all huh. what i cant understand is why someone so ademate and possess such hatred for a tv show, why he would spend so much energy complaining about it? wouldnt it be easier to turn the tv off or change stations? roflmao!!
Or are you so simple minded that you can only see your side of the story, which is more likely the case, typical brain dead dodo that can only believe what they see on TV
unlike you i see the process (tv show) as light hearted entertainment that sure beats watching home and away or neighbours. its people interacting, very similar to what goes on in these threads actually. human interaction.
do i believe it? believe what exactly? what i believe is that a handful of people auditioned to be on tv in a controlled environment for my entertainment. nothing more, nothing less. what do you believe? lol!!
so call me simple, idiot, dodo or whatever you wish im not the one who cant turn the tv off or change the channel because he is so engrossed in something he hates so much!!

| Big Brother Posted: 5/11/2007 1:06:54 PM | Did anyone else noticed that there appeared to be an open tube or pipe under each of the 5 boxes?? I think there was no randomness about it at all, and that they key was pushed into the box from underneath after the finalists chose their positions. The house contains no gay guys........4 girls against 1 gay guy and the gay guy wins?? ......Does anyone else think the competition was fixed?
I'm usually not much into the whole "conspiracy theory" type thing. But it *definitely* did seem odd that there's no token gay guy in the house (like there usually is) and then suddenly the one and only male (has he said he is gay yet though?) Starburst runner-up wins.
....in fairness, I'd be very surprised if they haven't based their decisions on market research of their main audience.
You're probably right there ... though it's still disgusting - the market research must have been based on the patriarchal bogans of society obviously, because I am (or was until the Starburst thing) a member of their main audience and I do NOT appreciate every chick in the house being blonde and skinny yet big-titted (can anyone say Barbie Doll clones?).
As for batie's comments ... fair enough if you don't like the show, then say so, as is your right :) But I don't see why you need to be throwing insults around calling people "idiot", "fool" and "dodo". That's usually what people do out of frustration when they can't substantially back up their own point. *sighs*

I have to say we agree on one point that would be watching home and away or neighbours or what ever is on at that time slot.
As for watching the show I DON"T THINK SO, had the miss fortune of seeing it once at the doctors that was enough for me.
As for the audition process, Try a psyche exam, to see if they are mentally capable of being in their.(i'd say the bar must be set low)
As i've said it is for the masses to watch and if that's what you call entertainment, well you answered your own question and confirmed mine, its really sad.
I wish you the best in your endeavours to watch your light entertainment. its just not for everyone.

| Big Brother Posted: 5/11/2007 9:10:29 PM | master bater..... eerr sorry mister batie
you seem to know alot about the show considering youve only seen a small snippet of it at the doctors (makes me wonder what kinda dr you go to that shows bb on tv in their waiting room).
audition process - state wide audition is first. then it gets narrowed down and they then go into groups and participate in different tasks. the groups get narrowed once again and a final number are selected. these people then go through psych tests (to see if they are mentally capable of handling a controlled environment), police checks (for obvious reasons) and another final audition process.
from there 30 finalists are selected to go through 1 more stage of auditions narrowing it down to the final 20 who will be chosen to go into the house.
this year has been a bit different in that all finalists have made it into the 'house' whether it be as a housemate or a white room contestant or audience voted participant.
so yes psych tests are given during the process.
.(i'd say the bar must be set low)
i think the opposite actually. the bar must be set fairly high as the tollerance of these people to control their emotions to a degree is outstanding.
As i've said it is for the masses to watch and if that's what you call entertainment, well you answered your own question and confirmed mine, its really sad.
we all have different levels of what we find entertaining. as i mentioned before if you wanna sit there and watch afl knock yaself out. i personally dont find anything exciting about the game but at the same time im not going to rant and rave about how much i hate it and im certainly not going to call people names because they do watch it.
i guess our levels of intelligence are very different as well.
again is ask the question: why do you waste so much of your precious energy whinging adn complaining about something that you can easily walk away from and not let it effect your being? seems a total waste of energy to me.

Yeah Boho-Chick, you can say barbie doll clones! It's pretty true. Then again, that Emma, sometimes I look at her and think she is truly gorgeous, and other times she seems sort of sharp and ugly looking. I don't know why my perception of her changes so. The other blondie, can't think of her name, always looks pretty.
I'm not exactly sure who their main audience is . I know that none of my friends watch it, and all of them see it as pretty surprising that I watch it. ((my not so secret shame)) But just on the thought of who wants the blonde good looking chicks going into the house, I have a comment on that...and it's only a theory...but you know how it's a common theme in gossip mags to publish shots of stars without makeup, drunk, caught on a bad angle, and with cellulite? Well readers lap that up. They love to see how the mighty have fallen. So I wonder if the hot blonde chicks serve 2 purposes. Firstly, the more obvious one of providing perving material for guys. Secondly, the women watching get to see these goddesses from the first night show, wake up in the morning with the makeup worn off their zits & their hair going frizzy. Then they get to see them do human stuff, like brush their teeth and fuss in the mirror and be boring and unglamorous. And then over the weeks they get to see the beautiful people's halos slip....their bad temper or lack of IQ reveal itself, their social gaffes, their ****ing and fighting, their smallmindedness, their faults basically. I wonder if this is part of the attraction for women watching? To see Barbie get down in the mud. Any merit in that thought, or total bollocks??
|
| Big Brother Posted: 5/11/2007 11:21:24 PM | Naamah, I think you have hit the nail on the head.
I believe Australians love to see the underdog win, but at the same time, a dose of tall poppy syndrome makes the general population more at ease with themselves.
Personally I dont watch the show, and my thinking is in line with Mister Batie, but people watching generally I do enjoy.

Hahaha. I am in exactly the same position. Whenever I mention BB, my friends are like "Please stop it! We try to pretend you don't have that anomaly in your personality". Harsh!
I wonder if this is part of the attraction for women watching? To see Barbie get down in the mud. Any merit in that thought, or total bollocks??
I think you make a good point there, NamaahReincarnated, I can definitely see that being a potential part of the appeal. It is kind of nice/calming/refreshing to see beauty queens being not-so-beautiful. However, the feminist in me still feels the urge to blame the barbie doll clones on our patriarchal society
Then again, that Emma, sometimes I look at her and think she is truly gorgeous, and other times she seems sort of sharp and ugly looking. I don't know why my perception of her changes so.
Emma has what I call b*tch-face. There are a lot of seemingly "pretty" girls that have this, in my opinion. It's a kind of sharpness or harshness in their face that kind of betrays their deep-down meanness. Emma is quite pretty ... but I get the vibe that you wouldn't want to be on her wrong side while there are any dangerous kitchen utensils lying around, if you get what I mean.

| Big Brother Posted: 5/14/2007 9:28:43 PM | my two cents worth. I don't watch it often , don't even know their names , but it was on one night on eviction. BB asked if this person had confronted the other about the reason for voting them off. My thought was , how many people , in a closed environment , go around telling people to their face , why they piss them off?
Imagine doing that in a work environment? Hello Peter , listen , I really dislike you because natter natter natter. WTF?
|
| Big Brother Posted: 5/14/2007 10:03:35 PM | i just cant believe scrubber doesnt like AFL
as for BB.........you really dislike AFL scrubber?????
sorry, got distracted again. BB rocks. is hilarious. good down time where you can switch your brain off at the door after having to use it all day.... or part thereof

OMG@the shock and horror of them choosing the contestants!
What's your favourite TV series? Isn't every word, every charactor says, meticulously written for the actors? Isn't every action carefully choreographed before the shoot? Isn't every plot twist and turn written and rewritten as a script? Isn't every article of clothing and hairstyle made up before by proffessionals? Isn't almost every scene done and redone till it's as close to perfectly fake as you can get?
Sure, BB is an unreal situation but it's far closer to reality than any telivision show. It's the reason why so many advanced phsychiatry courses follow it as a lesson plan to study. The reactions and perceived reactions of the labrats are far more real than any script.
If you don't like it, great! Switch the channel. Get back to your totally fake shows. I don't mind a lot of totally fake shows myself, lol.

FYI, One bb entrant became an actor (nothing of great note there ), one works as a presenter on "Totally wild", another is well known in the cosmetic industry, two present on bb, one radio presents, another is a human rights activist, another is modelling (probably not much of note there either since hers are fake)....... just off the top of my head.

| Big Brother Posted: 5/20/2007 2:34:11 AM | Emma says
"I'm not being nasty, but he's a tool. And he's shaped all weird. He's funny looking."
"I'm not being nasty, but I cannot stand her. She comes into the room all freaky and I just can't even look at her."
"I'm not being nasty, but they are so boring. And fake."
etc etc etc
Based on how many times a person claims themselves to not be being nasty, Emma is the least nasty person I've ever seen on TV.
Emma also says she doesn't b1tch about people, and ya know, I believe her.

| Big Brother Posted: 5/20/2007 2:47:01 AM | ^^ Hey you should start that sentence with "I'm not being nasty but...." just like Emma does. Cos if you say that first, anything you say afterward cannot be judged as nasty. lol.
Ahhh I reckon she's out tonight DJ. Although I suspect the camera men will be madly voting to keep her in.

| Big Brother Posted: 5/20/2007 3:40:23 AM | Well....Demet is out. Looks like Naamah's Psychic Predictions Hotline won't be ringing off the hook this week.
Now 1800 you might be onto something there...the timing of this is a little blurry, but did "he" disappear at about the same time that they all went into the BB house? It might have been Emma In Cognito. Maybe even wearing a beard. Hey...that sort of thing is not unheard of on here!!!
DJ...I'm afraid you're stuck with the buxom un-nasty one for another week at least. Turn the sound down, and enjoy!
