Posted: 10/28/2007 4:13:09 PM | Im going to sound like the grinch here, but I don't like the 'gifts'-they just are not real--kinda meaningless--OK OK I KNOW--and I don't like the favorites-some have hundreds for having a sexy picture-and nothing more--others, sweet profiles, have few or none-its like choosing sides in school-someone is hurt by not being chosen or a 'favorite'--its kinda marks a spot that you are not as 'popular' for what ever reason--there is enough problem with self esteem and attractiveness without someone judging you by numbers--I had a picture up--just don't now, and I AM BEAUTIFUL!!  JMO---THANKS | |

I get it that some people use favorites for the same thing, but favorites ends up being a running total/popularity contest type things. Winks could be, just winks, no score keeping. | |

Posted: 7/21/2008 10:18:17 AM | | i think that it encourages collectors...like the people who never trim back their favorites list and rack up 500+ favorites (whom they've probably never talked to) as some kind of ego boost or popularity contest. people are going to find ways to manipulate the points system, and if forum posts earn you points it could encourage forum spamming. the idea of having winks is cool, i just don't know about the points component. | |
