Stuck on the ole' "Will I find her attractive or not?" question. You'll never know until you meet. You and your friend have different tastes. Holy crap! People have different tastes in whom they find attractive? Please . . . say it ain't so.

Let's go back to the original set-up. Do you think that your "mutual friend" was just fishing to see if YOU were interested in dating Jen?????

Question is, I set Bob up with someone I thought was attractive. He wants to set me up with someone he does not find attractive. Would you set someone up with someone else you would not date because you found them not attractive in some way?

Personally, I don't do "set ups". But that's just my own policy.
As for your question, quit over thinking things. Either date the chick or don't. Or did you feel vaguely insulted that your favor is being returned with "shoddy goods"? ( unattractive girl)
On the whole I'd say find your own women. That way you have no one to blame but yourself if the thing turns out badly.

Everyone has their specific likes and dislikes, ie types. I myself have been set up on no less than 10 "blind dates" by well meaning friends in the past month or so. Nice enough guys. intelligent, good looking, great incomes and really nice guys. But, I really didn't feel a spark with any of them.

I think it's rare that a set up or blind date work out. I mean someone else picked the person....I really believe that you have to do that for yourself in order for it to work.....LOL...Not that I have done all that well on my own....But, still....my choice...
