I'm sure at least one women has answered you or has sent you a message and you weren't interested. The fact is there is alot of people for all of us to date in the real world and on here. I think what most of us are to selective, I know I've had plenty to choose from but I'm still here because the ones I was interested in didn't pan out, mostly because I lose interest in just talking over the net and the ones I have met with just weren't what I was looking for. I think we are all guilty of not taking the tine to really get to know someone that we've met and talked with on line because someone new is always coming along. So guys and girls try to spend a little more time getting to know someone instead of jumping around so much, if your looking for love you might be more successful.

Everybody is different. Everybody is an idividual. "To each his or her own" and just let it be. What are people looking for when they contact someone in a bar, or on POF or wherever? They're looking for INFORMATION! An answer to the question "Is this guy (or girl) for me"?
In a bar setting you have very little information on which to base your initial choice to make contact, so you strike up a conversation with the hopes of attaining that information. Inevitably, the majority will not be what you are looking for and will be quickly dismissed. Because of this high rejection rate, it is necessary to make contact with lots of people in order to find what you are looking for.
On POF you already have lots of information, so you only respond the those who you can't rule out based upon their profile, i.e. the ones you wouldn't mind dating. You completely bypass that initial information phase.
Therefore, if you want to make a real comparison between the two situations you should not compare the amount of "attention" you receive, but your views to date ratio (this IS a dating site remember)! If you were to do that, my guess is that you'll notice that most of the women who contact you on POF have a much higher interest level than those that you contact in other settings, ultimately resulting in a much HIGHER RATE OF "SUCCESS".
Ah, the powers of TRUE SCIENCE! I encourage intelligent feedback.

I don't know I think its a free dating site, and some of the women here..especially younger women with pretty faces and provocative pics are getting ALOT of mail...I'm sure it is a ego boost, but I'm also sure some just aren't interested in alot of the people that message them and don't have the time to write back. I mean not writing back is the quickest way to get the point across in my opinion.
And as for those same young pretty provocate women not getting the same attention in public..haha. seriously they get leered at and come on to all the time as well I'm sure. I've gone to clubs, I've seen how men react, heck I've walked down the street with some of my friends and seen how men react. So I don't think its that much different than the volume of attention they get on here. | |

LOL......... the funny thing is many have altered photos or fuzzy misleading pics. I have a program with my photography that de-fuzzes pics and you should see how many alter pics.
All in all, women who are actually attractive have dealt with attention all their lives and dont have to come online looking for attention.
Inflated sense of attractiveness is possible when pics are false or misleading and for many its the first time they have had men interested in them. You go to meet them and there is a 200 pound 55 year old woman who smells like cigars and beer... LOL | |

Either a profile just is presented where it is not appealing overall to the majority or they are too far away to someone interested. I find that to be a factor or that it is LIKE a popularity contest feeling for many. Once they get online and see such as a favorites list feature they try to reach the goal of adding to that . I find that high schoolish and immature and not really seeking quality over quantity. I found someone on a site where my odds were increased locally and I have a ton in common with him in addition to our interest to really get to know someone to start with. OP, since you have figured out all the "girls" here and determined they are hyper picky, WHY ARE YOU here anyway?? Why aren't you out there meeting these non-picky, grateful-for-any-attention girls? Maybe the girls here are BETTER selection, instead of the "dregs" that so many men and boys seem to think use internet dating sites? ( "Oh yeah I'll go on the internet, those chicks are so desperate they'd date Godzilla";that seems to be a fairly common male thought process here) then they find out that line of reasoning is a fallacy, so they pitch a **** about it in a forum or blog. Damn women never do behave the way they're supposed to!
As to "women rule the world"...
Boy howdy you damn betcha we do and if we didn't the planet would be a smoldering ruin and the human race would be extinct.
