Posted: 4/19/2007 9:44:04 AM | | I am quite unattractive (possibly hideous) and still get quite a few girls replying and sending me mail. when you go out im sure you are not attracted to every girl you see theres always that one or two exceptional ones that sparkle whether it be for the big bright eyes or extra cute smile or dangerous dimples or perhaps that they r just so sweet that the sound of her voice is like angels singing. Its also kind of hard to get to reely know someone by typeing back n forth on the computer and some people need more time b4 they r comfortable meeting you. maybe try not bein in such a hurry and maybe not refering to women as chicks might help a lil too but just my thoughts so have fun. | |

That's why I've come up with a highly scientific formula to find out how many responses to expect back. You take the number of girls you've messaged (Let's say 20) then you divide it by 4. So 20/4=5. You should get 5 responses (On the high end) if you msg 20 chicks.
I used to get a better response rate than that when I used to send out messages, I must have been doing it wrong.... | |

Thing to remember is that what you put out there is exactly what you'll get back. Now saying that I dont mean "hey baby wanna get it on" will get you "hey baby gimme your hot meat"... (well maybe in rare circumstances, but what self respecting guy wants a woman he cant respect in return?)
Women are wonderful. That is a basic, undeniable fact. And you know what? So are we men. Its what we have CHOSEN to do with the things that have transpired in our lives that shape the people we are today.
Ive been a pig. Ive been an ***hole. Ive been a chauvanistic **stard. Whats it got me? Well, a history of bitterness which I have since laid down and walked away from. I got tired of packing it around. One tends to wear that shit like a sign around ones neck.
This is going to sound smarmy and some of you more testosterone enriched dudes may scorn me for saying it, but really...
All you gotta do is look at who you are, the whole of you. Accept and love that person. Treat that person with kindness and respect. Once you do, you will automatically start treating others, regardless of gender, with the same attitude.

I came on here hoping to send a message of encouragement to someone I hold highly in my esteem, but the email isnt working. But I did find this thread in my attempts to send my message...which was basically just a hug and a wish for an excellent weekend.

No, despite all the success stories and I haven't calculated the percentages, I don't think POF is going to do anything for me. Or a lot of blokes like me. Not that ugly but once you're fifty plus, it's the knackers yard. You begin to understand why the oldest profession is taking off big time.

If I get an email from someone that I am not interested in then I don't send him an email telling him that. My reasoning is that I personally find it much softer of a blow to not hear back from someone that I have sent an email to (initial email that is) than to get one back letting me know they are not intersted. At least with no response there could be a a variety of reasons, such as they are seeing someone else and want to see how it goes.... I have gotten an email back before saying they were not interested and I would have rather just not had a reply. I mean I usually just forget about that email I sent if I don't hear back anyhow. That's much better than being told they're not interested, at least for me. I am not a rude person. I just think it's easier on the ego is all.... (now after talking awhile or meeting it is completely rude to just leave someone hanging without letting them know) | |

"fine, you stuck up ****!"
(proving she was correct in her decision)
"please please please oh youre so beautiful Ive fallen in love with your picture"
(stalker words)
"why?" followed by more and more demands for explanation.
There are few guys who will just accept a polite "no" and just say "next!".. If you have to push yourself on someone, then it's not meant to be. If you're open and honest and respectful, everyone, not just women, will see that in you. The result is that more people will be open to you. Like attracts like.
Every person, every event, every situation, absolutely everything in your life, you have attracted to yourself by virtue of how you present yourself to the world.
If youre unhappy with the way things are going for you, change something you have control over.
