While certain POF forums have offered up percentages of guys to women who cyber I've known a few women who are into the whole online "experience." I can't say I care for it, but I understand that some people become so lonely that any form of fun becomes acceptable to them. Just a wild guess. | |

Posted: 4/26/2007 10:31:32 AM | CharleneAnn, I support the logic of what you say, but I don't think MOST of us want our families, friends, or clergy to see us having sex, even in the privacy of our own bedrooms. I'm sure that are voyeurs who are the exception to this, but most would not.
If a guy does try to initiate cyber sex with me, the only thing he's going to get is my cyber foot in his cyber a**. Is that some type of foreplay?

Nothin' wrong with it in my mind as long as it's not with every Tom, D*ck and Harry you meet online. If you're corresponding with a fella and you're getting along and having some fun, then no big deal.... consensual....
But men and women just wanting to "get it on" online, without so much as "how do you do"..... that's a bit rude, in my opinion....
A lack of intimacy is what's missing in this whole dating scene....this protective curtain called a computer takes away so many inhibitions and opens a whole new arena of psychotic behavior....

Wow! Poshlady uses that S&M thing a lot! I'm thinking she's just kind less like posh, and more like frigid or at the very least way to into herself, but that's just my opinion.
Men cyber, women cyber. Whatever. As part of a healthy relationship, say when one of you is halfway across the country at a conference or whatnot it's fine. As your primary mode of expression? That would be weird. The gray area happens when it is part of flirtatious behaviour that becomes sexual exhibitionism. In that area I have no idea where to draw the line, and so shall refrain from doing so. | |

Those who do think it's sexy are not more "perverted" than anyone else who has a like or fetish that other people don't happen to share.
***You might as well ask: Why do men want (fill in any variety of) sex?
But I think it's a bit narrow minded to classify all men who do think it's sexy as by definition not gentlemen, not interested in "real" relationships, etc.
If they are prowling cyberspace trying to "get it" from anyone they might be able to find on any given night, they are simply the cyber-equivalents of men (or women) who do the same in bars or wherever...... no?
