My prior petite girlfriend couldn't handle her 7" x 2.4" Pyrex toy without a lot of slow and deliberate foreplay and a river of lube. She could never comfortably take the full length but it was the head and shaft size that were the most difficult to even get started. It became a real ritual and challenge for her and she enjoyed all the attention and she felt a sense of accomplishment when we could got it "mostly" in her all of the way. But oddly enough I am not at much different in diameter and she could get me in without anywhere near the same effort or lube. So I think it also has to do with the pliability of your toy as well since the glass ones don't compress at all.
