| Do kids have a choice of religion ? Posted: 10/12/2009 2:22:52 PM | intrigue/me/77 your answer is fascinating. And although you don't fill in much of the back story, may I appeal to you to accompany your son in his journey of faith. If you are of a mind to allowhim this journey, there must be enough merit in it for you to answer that knock on the door your self.
On a more personal note, my son follows in the faith of his mom and I: Conventional / conservative Christian. Since I believe this to be the one ond only path to eternity, and yes I am narrow minded, then I would want my son to follow in these footsteps. Son has been attending church and sunday school with his mom & I for all of his years. He has literally grown up in the church. He is now in the HS groups and has filled in some leadership posts. He is a Godly son and I am joyful that he has had this opportunity in his life that I never had (I grew up in the household of an atheist marxist.) In reflection, my son has had the much better upbringing.
TK {again, blessing to you intrigue/me/77 for your willingness to allow your son this opportunity} | |
