| Anime Fans Posted: 4/7/2007 6:46:36 AM | hmmm....I love to many series to name just one but I'll go with ...
Fushigi Yugi.
Because it has a great story plot, the animation is awsome, hell it just rox my sox.
Another would have to be...
My Neighbour Totoro
And my fav character in that is the Giant Cat Bus! lol it's so freakign cool.

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/7/2007 11:48:01 AM | Samurai Gun - I think it only had one season... about 14 episodes but really good.
and Ghost Stories.... this is a great anime.... but you have to watch the english dubbed version.... totally hilarious and full of pop culture references... in it's japanese version it was ment to be a serious anime. It didn't do very well in Japanese. When it was dubbed to english the voice cast totally had fun with it....

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/7/2007 8:50:31 PM | I love anime, love it. There are so many good series and movies out there, and it all depends on your taste of course. My favourite series right now and I think it is my all time favourite, is without a doubt ONE PIECE (jap). I don't have favourite characters, I tend to observe the series/movie as a whole. I love One Piece because it is the craziest sea pirates world, and of course you have the StrawHat crew with their incredible fighting abilities and their quirky yet kickass personalities.
Right now I watch Eyeshield 21, Bleach, Naruto (Shippuuden), Major, Heroic Age, and of course One Piece.

| Anime Fans Posted: 4/24/2007 6:33:36 PM | Hi,
I'm an avid anime fan. Though I haven't watched anime lately, due to work committments and a business I'm running.
However, I've been getting into J-drama, which I think is great for helping me learn japanese.
Anyways, some series that I was currently watching were:
Nodame Cantible - It's kinda of romance comedy with a musical school touch to it drama
NHK ni Youkoso - Translation as welcome to the NHK. A comedy/serious anime about a hikkikomori who tries to break free from his social disorder.
Honey & Clover I & II - A slice of life anime about art college students, and their relationships with each other , and their struggles in graduating and finding a job. Very nice anime.
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien - A tear jerker anime if you're not use to love drama. I cried though. Pretty good anime about 3 people and how an accident changes their lives.
That's pretty much what I'm currently watching.
I used to watch shonen anime, but seems I'm kinda losing interest in them, although thats probably because of the fillers and such..

Heh, definitely fillers are killers...but you could always skip them and continue enjoying your favourite shounen.

| Anime Posted: 4/26/2007 12:56:15 PM | Let's see...
My favorite is the Slayers. A wonderful fantasy parody that manages to be dramatic when it needs to. The key element is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Anime that are over the top but try to do it all straightfaced often annoy me a little.
Other good shows, well...Cowboy Bebop, Escaflone, Bleach, Nadesico, Excel Saga, Azumanga Daioh, Ranma 1/2, Naruto, Dragonball series, Trigun, Outlaw Star. Plenty of others out there, for sure.

| Anime Posted: 8/31/2007 1:36:28 PM | My sons really like anime -tion. They're 11 and 8. They've moved on a little bit from Pokemon and Digimon to Inuyasha. They never got into dragonball and Yu-Gi Oh was a short lived interest. I try to keep an ear open while they're watching so I can keep tabs on content. Most of it's benign, though the occasional curse gets my attention.
Some of the trailers from the Inuyasha movies prove much anime is not appropriate for young children. Anyone have recommendations of series/ features geared toward this age? We've watched and enjoyed all the studio Ghibli releases.
My elder son has the joined the anime club at his school, where he'll get to practice his drawing talents.

| Anime Posted: 9/2/2007 5:46:04 AM | | Anybody ever hear of a couple of French anime called "Fantastic Planet" from the early 70's and "Light Years" from the late 80's both by the same animator Rene Laloux (not sure of the spelling)? Light Years is really good. | |
|
| Anime Posted: 9/2/2007 9:49:49 AM | yu yu hakusho - every single char because i relate to all of them in one way or another and demon yusuke is pure win.
love hina- kaola sue, shes a crazy transforming lolfest.
flames of recca- recca, duh. flame dragons ftw.
naruto- sakura has recently become pwn in shippuden, so i would say her and naruto, probably ero-sennin too cause he's a dork.
dbz- gotenks is my fave just because they're smart asses lol.
ruroni kenshin- kenshin for sure because he is doing something noble which is repenting for his past and i believe that batosai picks up on that later in the series.
anime <3 | |

| Anime Posted: 9/2/2007 11:25:22 AM | Anime, me likes alot!!!!
Sailor Moon- one of the first animes I've watched, I love the show, Sailor Mercury made it awesome.
Pokemon- People are sick of this show, I know. However, when I was a kid, I had to watch this show every day, if I missed it, I'd be devastated. Now I despise it
Tenchi Muyo OVA- Awesome, racy, but awesome. I'd take Tenchi's place anyday.
Tenchi Universe-Same as above.
Tenchi in Tokyo- I'd still take his place, even though that one stalker chick is slightly scary, lolz.
Monster Rancher- Is awesome..... and Pixie.
Outlaw Star- A classic. I have it on DVD box set. Melfina is one of the best characters ever.
Gundam Wing- Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatra, Wu Fei. Need I say more?!
Kiki's Delivery Service- GiGi, is like Geoffery in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, he alone makes this movie worth watching.
Princess Mononoke- Billy Bob Thorton for similar reasons above.
Dragon Ball Z- It stupid sometimes, but Goku makes it awesome.
Outlaw Star- Is Awesome!!!
Outlaw Star- It's my fave anime ever, above Sailor Moon, Tenchi, and Gundam Wing.
Outlaw Star-Outlaw Star didn't get mentioned enough, it deserves good recognition.
Outlaw Star- Had awesome characters.

| Anime Posted: 9/10/2007 8:25:34 PM | Favorite Anime: Evangelion
The Journey of all the characters to the core of there mind and thinking was such an enlightening experience on myself. At the time I saw it my thoughts mirrored Shinji Ikari to much it was scary. And in the last episode of the TV show I felt exactly what he must have felt....
As for character it's a tie between Terry Bogard for Fatal Fury, and Kakashi Hatatake from Naruto.
Terry Bogard = because at one time in my life I couldn't keep a girl friend to save my life....or hers....
Kakashi = because that's the type of person became now me and him are the same age at certain points, and were Both Virgos. Actually Kakashi scares me same since of timing as well showing up late all the time when it's not important, and getting lost on the Journey of life......

| Anime Posted: 9/22/2007 6:15:11 AM | My son keeps bragging about the show"Deathnote", He can only watch it on the internet, cause he says it got banned in a few places. Funny thing, it was listed in our Canadian TV guide late at night and he forced me to stay up to watch it....but it wasn't on | |
