Posted: 4/30/2007 8:26:53 PM | Best concert ever--toss up between U2 in Vancouver in '93 (Zoo TV tour) and U2 here in '97!!
I'm so jealous of sassy, who could've reached out and touched Bono  ... I am a huge U2 fan!! Didn't get floor tix though...
the Rolling Stones at Commonwealth were pretty good too! Saw INXS when they came here back in about '90 (can't recall exactly), they were good--loooved Michael Hutchence 
Saw Tom Cochrane and Def Leppard out in Camrose for that multiple act show that I cannot for the life of me, remember the name of---anyone? This was about '92??
Don't laugh, but I used to be a Debbie Gibson fan (yea yea...) and I loved her concert!
Actually, that's the sum of my concert experiences... haven't been to one in ages though; missed U2 in Calgary for their Elevation tour , couldn't afford to go to Vancouver for Vertigo tour either
But I have supreme confidence they're not breaking up anytime soon so I might have a couple more tours left with them and of course their "reunion" tour in another 30 years or so, unless they're still givin' er  GO U2!!!!!  Rodzores | |

Posted: 5/3/2007 9:33:24 AM | well seen nickel back last year and they put out an awsome show.... now with the new album this concert is going to rock.. might i add i got tickets yahoooooooooooo actually managed to snatch up 6...... lol.... so just might have some to sell if people dont call them asap LOL......  prob going to be the best show i see this year.... but that is my oppinion.... | |

the best concert i would have to say is the dixie chicks when they first came to town a few years ago. they put on a good show...
as far as music wise, LOVED sarah mclachlan, the chick has got talent AND i was 3rd row from the stage....
and for making me drool...our lady peace...iluvraine! | |

Posted: 5/10/2007 12:37:22 AM | The Eagles, late 70's in McMahon Stadium. Joe Walsh just joined the band and Randy Meisner was still on bass. My uncle took me and we climbed over a wall to sneak in (hey, I was a kid following my role model, whad'ya want) The Hotel California Tour.
1984 Van Halen w/David Lee Roth was a train wreck.
Bruce Springsteen with the E Street Band and the Big Man on Sax in '02 was fangasmical too. | |

I seen way to many to list them all, Living in Van as a teen and into my early twenty's was definatly a plus for viewing all the big bands.
Cult was the best,
Areosmith (permanet vacation tour), Motley Crue (seen them nine times ), Triumph ( rock and roll machine tour ), Bon jovi (slippery when wet tour),Deflepard ( everytime they came),and Ac/Dc (razors edge tour), these were all a close second.

In the 60's, the first concert in Canada of the Dave Clarke 5, I also had backstage passes for it
In the 70's had to be the Beachboys, they did an awsome performance
In the 80's, I was raising kids and couldn't afford them
In the 90's, Cher was the worst and any thing that had Joe****r in it was definately superior, the Tina concert was near the top of the list.

I saw him about 15 years when he was relatively unknown and was blown away. Tonights show was even better. His band is smokin, and he is one charismatic dude! I met him after the show and I'm still feeling a little woogily! | |

pearl jam in calgary......7th row tickets.....given to me the night of the concert by a woman in the merchandise line.....cause my friend and i bought her a poster for her friend back home (one poster per person per concert).....
our original seats were in the nosebleeds and we were in the 7th row the night of the concert.....i cried | |

U2 discoteque tour, due to going with my brother that I hadn't really spent much time with the preceeding 3 years as he'd moved to Calgary, that and I got stoned for the first time in atleast 10 years....... extremely hot goddess in the row below caught me peek'n down her rather revealing shirt in my drunken state......... taps her huge boyfriend on the shoulder, then rather than have him pummel my lil a$$ into the ground, she takes the joint from him and passes it up to me and winks..............sigh, I think I'm still in love with her imagery  lol
weirdest concert.............. they had "accept" open up for "golden earring"...just the strangest combination of bands...........half the crowd were rowdy hormonal teenaged headbangers, the other half, bikers and mellow older stoners..... yeah, I nearly got killed that night lol

The Beatles when I was just a kid and went with the older next door neighbour
In Vancouver.Boy I can still remember her screaming.
Elvis in Vegas ( unbelievable) when I was older.
And so many other concerts over the years as I have done emcee and dj work
with a lot of groups in the past.
But the Beatles and Elvis managed to get electricity happening in bigger ways than anything I saw since or before. | |

Taste of Chaos this year was pretty good, Aiden rox my sox
And Coheed and Cambria. Wasn't a particularly good set, but wow are they powerful live. And damn good guitarists. Maybe it was the Atreyu rush falling off, but that was a very memorable concert.
Oh, and an eerie but honorable mention to 30 seconds to mars. I don't particularly like them, but they do a damn good live show, better than the CD imo. | |

3 The Who at Rexal Place or what ever its called now. Keith Moon was still alive and they did trash the stage first laser light show in Edmonton I think.
2 ZZ Top in the Kinsmen Fieldhouse back when it was a heated barn with a rubber floor it was before the band had beards and they wore purple or blue suits with big 10 gallon hats
I was a concert junkie and my memory is a little hazy from age and possible illegal substances in my system at the time. I saw many great shows from Alice Cooper to ZZ but the absolute best I ever saw was in the Fieldhouse I have no idea what year and I cant remember the headliner that night but when they finally got on stage I remember the lead singer saying "there is no way we can top that so we wont even try". I remember when the back up band came on we were all wondering who this little priss was on stage prancing around and then they did their magic and gave the best show I have ever seen and arguably one of the top 2 or 3 Rock bands of all time.
