Back in the day, it was hard to top Iron Maiden.

Seen the Van Halen 1984 tour with Roth, it was great!
Seen Priest a few times. ALWAYS heavy, always good.
Seen Alice Copper as well, he's a great showman.

I was at that Motley Crue concert in April, had front row seats, met the band, got a guitar signed. GREAT concert, loved the fact that there was no opening band! Just them digging in and knocking us out for almost 3 hours!!!!

But my favorite lately was probably Foo Fighters. Crue was awesome but honestly they were at the top of their game 15 years ago, whereas Foo Fighters had the number one song at the time, they are at the top of their game NOW. Simply an amazing concert!

The best concert I have seen was about 3 years ago on the "Vote for Change" Tour.
I was living in Winipeg and drove to Minneapolis to see Bruce Springsteen, REM, John Fogerty and then some guy named Neil Young popped into play with all three of these acts. Four Hours of unbelievable music !

oohh yhheeaa... VIDEO GAMES LIVE. I have never heard such great music as that night. My hat goes off to Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the choir especially. Absolutely fantastic. Plus, there was a girl playing there, and she did a Super Mario montage on the piano. I don't know who here has played the games, but when time starts running out, the music gets insanely fast. SHE DOES THIS LIVE. You can't even see her hands running across the piano keys its so fast. Her brother has a vid on youtube of himself doing it (He wrote the piece), I recommend checking it out for the wow factor.

Plus, Warped Tour is always a good show. DAMN i can't wait for this years show, so geared.

The Cult
Guns n Roses
The Who

it really was handy having an Uncle that owns a record company...

Motorhead and Ozzy at the Max Bell Arena in 1981. You were allowed to bring in drugs and booze as long as there were no glass containers. My hearing has never been the same since.

Iron Maiden with Accept at the Red Rock Amphitheater in Colorado in approximately 1985. Outdoors with the wind blowing in my long hair.

Exciter in the Rainbow Theater in Denver, Colorado, 1985. Early Canadian thrash.

Neil Young, early nineties, Ragged Glory Tour, Calgary. Hauntingly beautiful music.

Pink Floyd, Edmonton, mid-nineties. Astounding, like sitting inside a giant cd player. So perfect I cried. After this concert, I knew I didn't need to see another.

These are my favorite shows I've been to.

Kim Mitchell

1992 in a small town hockey arena (Orillia Ont) Just after his "I am a Wild Party" live album came out.

Best show I've ever seen.

2nd best show - Edgefest 1997 The Tea Party - opened the main stage for the night. Never was a fan of them until I saw that performance.

Lolapalooza '92, St. Louis MO. Ministry, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and many many other excellent performances.

A close second, Meatloaf with Doug & the Slugs in the Bessborough Bowl in Saskatoon, 1990? It rained the whole time Doug & the Slugs played but they kept taunting and insulting the crowd and got everyone into it, and then the Loaf blew our ear drums for a couple hours and had everyone on the other side of the river filing noise complaints with the city and we didn't get another gig in the Bessborough gardens for years. Good times.

Also, PPM 5 year, basement of the Centennial, Saskatoon, 2000. The rave to end all raves. PLUR, yadda yadda...

Tina Turner, George Thorogood, and John Cougar were all really good. And Van Halen the first time.

If I could get my hands on some AC/DC tickets, I'm sure that would be the best concert...

To date the most awesome concert I've been to was Lamb of God. Don't know who all has heard of them but they're a metal band. I got lost in the mosh pit, hit, punched, kicked, thrown around. accidently knocked some guy out and it was AWESOME
