| What CD is in Your Car Now?..... Posted: 5/1/2007 10:40:23 PM | I threw in one of my burned mixed CD's today. I love doing my own CD's just like back in the day when I did my own mixed cassettes. No filler, no crap , no paying $15 bucks for two-three good tunes that I actually like. Just a bunch of songs that I personally love. Each and every one of them.
Anyway, on this one are tunes from The Clash, Queen, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, The Tubes, B.T.O, Chili Peppers, Foghat, Sophie B. Hawkins, Dixie Chicks and a bunch more

Well sometimes you can find the best song in an album that wasn't the hit song that was played on every radio station, satalite radio and MTV once every 30 minutes. The problem with Itunes is that folks just go for the hit song and forget the little gems that can be found inside the whole album. I never purchased 45 records all that much either. Oh wow that dates me! Ha Ha!

| What CD is in Your Car Now?..... Posted: 5/1/2007 11:38:56 PM | My cd's are just filled with songs that I like. Some were hits and some were not. Nowadays if i want to hear and preview all of the songs from a particular artist's CD, I can do it without paying a dime and I can cherry pick what I like and don't like.
Thats the beauty of it. I can get a whole CD of tunes I like for practically nothing.

Oh and for the original question.... This weeks cd has been a mix of Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Van Morrison, and Louis Armstrong. Of course, I've been alternating that with club songs from Lil Jon, and Bubba Sparxxx etc....LOL

Fantastic music collection btw ;). Punk in Drublic's my favorite (though the Decline comes close . . . my car CD player won't play it!) and yeah Pinkerton was the best Weezer album hands down!
|
| What CD is in Your Car Now?..... Posted: 4/17/2008 5:41:14 PM | Anyone who says Pinkerton is Weezer's best album-is golden in my book! Although the single-Say It Ain't So, is still one of my faves. | |

| What CD is in Your Car Now?..... Posted: 4/17/2008 7:05:58 PM | If I actually kept a regular CD in my car, the very minor form of epilepsy that I have would send me into convulsions by virtue of hearing it repeatedly. My family makes fun of me by saying that once I hear a song, I don't want to hear it again for a year. Gross exaggeration, but at the base of it the concept rings true.
However, I do have CDs in my car...they're MP3 discs that contain a sum total of about 850 classic rock tracks.
But I end up listening to the radio anyway! Must be the short commute...

| What CD is in Your Car Now?..... Posted: 4/17/2008 8:25:24 PM | I have a short commute too, so listen to the radio around town, but whenever I take a road trip I usually get a few new CDs. Nothing new in the players right now, but some of my favorites I've had for a few years (or more):
Quetzal Cheryl Crow Bruce Springsteen What is Hip (remixes of 70s tunes) Ozomatli Priscilla Queen of the Desert (soundtrack) Blue October
