| Nice to see..... Posted: 5/1/2007 8:08:22 PM | Hey Mandrake............nice stuff.....!
"Within..........the night........I see the stars....I cannot see in the day!" Words of one wise , man......once.........pondered darkness.....in this way! Gentle flowers arrive.......in ones....... we find........along the road......of time Grasping what we seek...and need.......words are often kind leaving what we think not true......many make us feel anew! simply what we take them as.......if our mind is really true...... We can melt them into stone.......iron statues.....in our tone Words....often not the ones.....that we wish........maybe one But to think upon them keeps.......electricity......within our reach As I gaze upon the sky.........stars reside.....I wonder why? simply when the darkness falls...........a friend smiles down with little pause! Then as gentle as the night............sky turns blue........ is full of light! Bluer than the deepest sea................ showing life for all to see!

| Nice to see..... Posted: 5/2/2007 5:36:21 AM | Thanks Jules....nice write
A moment in time, A sea of emotion, Crashing to shore, Like waves of the ocean.
Riding on crest, Framing the sky, Like rogues running wild, Appearing to fly.

Walk, Barefoot, through the sand.
Touch it, Feel it, Really feel it!
Feel it through, the appendages , of your soul.
Fill your senses, with it's wet warmth, Absorb it like a breath.

| Nice to see..... Posted: 5/2/2007 6:10:28 AM | Hello my friend ... Hope you don't mind, I've come to sit by the fire with you .... for there is tranquility in a flame ...
With shallow breath I think Wondering, waiting, hopelessly? Chains clutch at my being, so dark So gray Edging me towards unfamiliar territory Waters untested, roads never traveled Will this be my forever destiny? To twist, to turn, to chasten my heart, To burn …
Lost in tranquillity that is not mine Longing like a lost child Wondering, waiting, hopelessly? The endless nights of darkness Swallowed hole into an abyss Gnarled thoughts, so called dreams Crushed into madness and weariness For I cannot help but wonder Is it all black?
Treasure the solace For you shall not be deserted In your time of need The blackness, the cold, It will recede Like the tides of ocean As I lay here Wondering, waiting, hopelessly? Will you leave me in this place Unprotected, alone, and so gray
Fear not the unknown my child For it is here we find Peace, love, and a little freedom Hearts renewed, souls reborn It is not always dark For the sun will once again Caress us into laughter If we but let her

| SERENITY SONG Posted: 5/2/2007 6:44:48 AM | SERENITY SONG
Night falls, Shadows dance, from licking fingers of a gentle fire.
Soft music, Tones, and half tones, wafting, floating, Ignited by firelight.
Caressed by warmth, soothed by song, Melting harmonies of spirit and soul.
|
| SERENITY SONG Posted: 5/2/2007 7:12:20 AM | A smile plays upon my heart new breath upon my soul has granted a new start each day I look upon with brand new eyes I see things bright as bluest skies
Not one moment shall I waste into my soul each day I take in to baste what wonders can be found when we take our time to look around
Our world is full of beauty so deep so each day I so silently creep take it in with wonder and smiles I so enjoy each step I take to cross the miles

| SERENITY SONG Posted: 5/2/2007 7:51:30 AM | Note to Self ... That Little Girl Within
I see you standing there Arms wide open, for you are not scared So innocent, so carefree, and full of belief For you are unscathed by life’s tragedies and pain
I watch you at times Knowing…that someday, You will dance through my soul again Not a care in the world Like a beautiful butterfly in spring
For your wings …. They are not broken By shattered dreams and a jagged heart You see only with wide eyed wonder The endless possibilities You bring a smile to my face, and warmth to my heart
I look at you standing there Full of hope, curiosity and happiness Loving eyes that reach out to watch , to protect To hold me tight as I sift through the fears Unknowingly …. You keep me safe
You hide yourself, yet scream without sound I’m still here … Waiting patiently for your wounds to heal So that I too may once again … Play innocently, magically, openly
You know my terrors, you know my fears For you have always been there Tucked deep inside for all these years Watching and waiting …. For me to fly with you …. To take that chance And you so patiently wait … For US to dance
I had previously posted this on another forum ... but wanted to post it here .... By the fire ... hope you don't mind it was a double post. Hope you're having a cattastic day Mandrake ... and others as well ... it's a wonderful day to be alive!

| SERENITY SONG Posted: 5/2/2007 8:15:50 PM | Let me sit here for a while by the fure burning brightly warmth cascading around me
Let me dream here by your fire with visions dancing in the flames and memories burning brightly
Let me remember by the fire memories of cold winter nights and hot pure passions burning hotter than these flames
Join me next to the flames sip a cup of tea.. and get lost inside the flickering heat of time both before and yet to come
shhhhhhhhh... just feel

| ya want fire? Posted: 5/2/2007 8:47:49 PM | The Cold Weather Seductress
I am not a summer lover; The humid scorch of a tropical affair Only burns my skin to discomfort If I expose my passion to the naked sun. The sun is always naked, never nude, For Summer's lovers flash hard, taunt bodies In stark display. Their lack of subtlety obscuring access To a sensuality that is unveiled layer by layer.
Make mine a winter bed-- A Victorian four-poster of sturdy wood And flannel sheets to hold the warmth Of a passion not spent in one hour. My pleasure is a heavy thing that sparkles Like long auburn hair, Like peach brandy in a crystal goblet, Like warm spiced oil on bare skin.
I do not wear my lust loosely-- Like a cotton blouse casually tossed aside For a twenty minute tryst-- Mine is tailored to fit exactly and wear well. It is unfastened carefully, slowly and completely.
I prefer that my nights last longer than my days And should you wonder what motivates The cold-weather seductress, I will reveal the secret. In the glow of winter fires, I have studied the arts of ecstasy And discovered a lover's alchemy By which base things are transformed into gold.

| ya want fire? Posted: 5/2/2007 9:27:36 PM | Is this house on fire? I smell the acrid scent from the woods by the pond tonight the smoke a curling finger beaconing us closer the senses quiver in the heat a furious wind sweeps the air there is no one home in this delusion to put out the flames is it but a dream fallen on the silence of an old ruins where the druids danced with the leaping flames of time. | |

| PARABLE II Posted: 5/3/2007 3:42:37 PM | PARABLE II
Black widow, black widow, where are you hiding? Your tangled web of deceit lays exposed, You run in the shadows of darkness, And hide behind doors that are closed.
Black widow, black widow, your venom injected, Into the hearts of the unknowing, Spreading your poison far and wide, While you bask in the glowing.
Place a mirror before your throne, You just can't resist the bite, Now the toxic dagger is your own, Making things just right!
|
| PARABLE II Posted: 5/3/2007 4:19:10 PM | Oooohhhhhhhh............I like that one !
Shadows dance across the wall I think I saw my life flash by Black, gray, twisted visions Ghosts of a life I wish I could forget Pictures so ingrained, doors left open ever so slightly Why must I always remember
That time, that pain, that torture
As I lay here with eyes wide shut The memories they flood Washing me out to sea in a hurricane For “I” am the eye of that storm Twisted, tormented, relentless Unforgiving
I open my eyes hoping …… Hoping the pictures have somehow changed The script would be rewritten Yet the visions still dance With a sickening, horrid staccato That echoes ever so loudly through my heart My mind, My entire soul
A war within myself, I beg For you are only shadows dancing on the wall You are not who I really am Or are you?
>^..^<. | |

| THAT TIME OF LIFE Posted: 5/3/2007 9:24:38 PM | THAT TIME OF LIFE
That time, A moment flashing before my eyes, Forever crashing, Lashing out, sick and tired of being sick, Desperate, Reaching out, A gentle hand, lifting up, Life altering experience, Drew me in, No longer the fatal sin, No longer the man I could have been, rather the man, I want to be!

| Eternity speaks Posted: 5/4/2007 7:23:33 AM | Eternity Speaks
What say you, O Eternity? What evil intoxicates thy soul, How vast the secrets of your womb, Your abyss like a black hole.
Deep, mysterious O Eternity, How dark thy shadows bend, The minds of future seekers, Drunkenly dancing to ascend.

| EROTIC SHIMMER Posted: 5/4/2007 8:25:03 AM | EROTIC SHIMMER
Whispered caress, velvet like touch, Painting excitement, on naked flesh, Warming, elevating, Stimulating, moving, Stroking the entire canvas, Exposed, Raising, to fever pitch, Ignited wetness Writhing, joining, Thrusting, Penetrating over, and over, bringing explosions of pleasure, wave after wave, Multiple orgasms, spent, collapsed into each other.

| PARADISE REMEMBERED Posted: 5/4/2007 7:23:05 PM | PARADISE REMEMBERED
Memories of the Paradise, A greasy spoon cafe, The place was always open, Twenty four hours a day.
The patrons widely varied, From those in suits and ties, But when the sun descended, Came those with bleary eyes.
The music floating on the air, Musicians playing the blues, The seedy sad and lonely, Drown sorrows in their booze.
Paper baggers at the bar, Trying to get their fix, While through a smokey window, Watch hookers turning tricks.
Ahhh- the Paradise cafe, It's gone today you see, A place that held my midnight hours, Just a treasured memory.

| PARADISE REMEMBERED Posted: 5/4/2007 9:46:47 PM | On my fortieth birthday I was given three wishes Where would I like to return to? What memories did I search? Down to Yorkville In a small coffee house called “The Riverboat” I spent many hot evenings Listening to folk singers Who were troubadours in their time? Gordon Lightfoot, Dan Hill Many, many more would gather To hear the guitars gently weep Toronto was filled with interesting places To change our stripes Favourite haunts of the teens/early twenties crowd Half yuppie, half hippie As you walked down the street You could pause and hear An unchained melody Floating on the air I took a trip back in time Another person With children and responsibilities Walked the same streets Years later A dream world of memories Slept in a big old hotel In a suite built for many But it was just the two of us You tried so many times to make me happy Then why wasn’t I? It has all changed Or I had I closed my mind and made another wish For something simple next time around No going back Something new and meaningful Wrapped up with a big red bow.

| FOND MEMORIES Posted: 5/5/2007 9:32:28 AM | ok...here's my silly poem from e-mail...
This semester,I took on all these social sciences It doesn't even leave me much time for my household appliances. (get your mind out of the gutter ) I told my psych.teachers I knew"crazy" in class on the first day But they made me show up all semester anyway just to get my A I don't like all these tests keeping my thoughts in a cage Good thing this semester ends in two more days ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ With a rush of yearning to embrace a single moment and make it last.... To let the world go on without us, for in this moment, a new memory to hold fast....
I'll hold you like a lover should, just sit with me awhile. Youv'e already touched from a distance, I just want to feel your smile......
